lol i pick JED! he deservs it! but i wouldnt mind seeing frost hear as an OC, with what he has picked up from oregon, and kelly, i think he could bring a lot to the table!
I agree about Frosty being better than Gilmore. I don't think he's ready for to be an offensive coordinator. I could also see Frost being a great quarterback's coach or even have Ganz take on that role. Unless Frost can prove himself to Bo that he can run an offense (and since Bo knows nothing about offense that probably wouldn't be hard); they might be better off going after a proven coordinator.
You can realistically say that about any position coach in the country. Someone has to give them a start somewhere. It boils down to work ethic, discipline, and intelligence.
You want someone who pays attention to detail and preferably someone who has ties to Nebraska.
Watson's is also 'just learning' the zone read option offense. His resume shows 9 years of offenses ranking in the bottom 90% of BCS teams for penalties and turnovers. That's a pattern.
I understand the struggles of 2009 as being an offense in transition, but 2010 showed the same shoot yourself in the foot, show up one week and not the next mentality.
Catch the ball and cut the penalties/turnovers by 50% and Nebraska is a 12-0 team right now.
Expecting the Blackshirts to hold opponents to 6 points week in and week out is unrealistic..
I would love to have Scott Frost on the staff, I just think the idea of him being a head coach right now is a bit overboard.
And there is no doubt in my mind our offense would take on a more physical mindset.............he was one of the most physical QBs I can remember ever watching play the game.
