Haters gonna hate
We def need to fix the red zone problems. Getting field goals like we have been wont work in the playoffs. Either way we still are avg. 24 points a game which is not too shabby.
You know, I've thought about it now. The Williams TD wasn't really a Smith thing, it was a Williams thing. The Davis drop wasn't Alex's fault. These two cancel each other out (not that I was claiming that Smith should have both per se). It's a bit greedy to give him both. 142.3 is good by me.
its almost like JH believes our defense and special teams are enough to beat teams like the rams so why show something other teams can study on film
not to take anything away from kyle, the run was really nice, but i don't want to undersell smith here either. had that been a back shoulder throw, high, or anything but in stride and leading to the inside, it would not have gone for 6. much like the pass crabtree dropped that probably would have gone for a TD early on, smith recognized the defense, saw the seam, and led his receiver perfectly. he allowed williams to use his speed and toughness to exploit the seam and while kyle did most of the work, without a perfect throw, he would not have had the chance to do so.
Sometime they get a little too cute tho, especially down in the red zone. Like with the wildcat formation on 3rd down yesterday.
No kidding - WTH was that? Why keep running that play?

Yeah, I hated that play. No idea why you would take the ball out of your QB's hands in that situation. If it was second down, maybe. On third down, it just seemed doomed to fail.

V, you might be talking about a different play here - That TD was pretty much ALL Williams. The route was a simple stop/dig so there was no hitting anyone in stride. Smith did his part by correctly reading the D and putting the ball in Kyle's hands.
However, Williams explosion off the line drove an already soft corner deeper and as soon as the CB turned his shoulders Williams pulled up and Smith hit a stationary Williams in the hands. Kyle circled back a yard to get inside the CB, then just flat out-ran everybody. (With the exception of Bo who caught him in the tunnel.)
