Now I know its a mock but I'll explain my choices in each of the rounds and see if you think I made the right choice. Even though I'm still planning to stick to my guns.

I picked 9th
Rd 1-I took Monte Ball over Graham, Brees, and DT. Foster and Murray were also on the board. However, I am not going to get Graham in my real draft. I may be debating between Ball and Foster the next two weeks. Foster has got handoff king Fitzpatrick so that could make it challenging.
Rd 2-I took Brees. Rodgers is my keeper but I might trade for Brees before or during the season straight up.
Rd 3-I took Ellington over Thomas here. He was available. Also the third round receivers were gone. It was between these two. Spiller was there also. I am planning Thomas here or if he ends up falling to me, Gronkowski.
Rd 4-Cruz
Rd 5-DJac
Now you can see like I have explained Cruz could be my wr1, next was DJac the others available I did not look. CP was gone, as was all the RBs from Gore/Rice on up. And I knew I could get the next set of RBs in the next round.
Rd 6-MJD this where I decided to have a RB or WR in flex. I chose the RB and went with MJD. TRich was there but I had to go for the team who will be run first.
Rd 7-I took Colston as my wr3 over Wayne, Sanders, and Watkins. Wallace is moved up the rankings and is not rd 7 now.
Rd 8-I took Rudolph for TE. He's the guy I like in this range here more than the others.
Rd 9-Rams and Pats were gone, as were the other top 9 defenses. So I took the guy you guys were talking about TWill.
Rd 10-Needed to get some backup RBs and I took Michael.
Rd 11-I took Cooks
Rd 12-Took the bears(stream for week 1)
Rd 13-Handcuffed Ball with Anderson
Rd 14-I whiffed on Ebron and Green here for Hyde. With all the injuries his chances are real now.
Rd 15-Janikowski. I think he could be the steal here with the raiders running more and that would mean more redzone and fg opportunities for them.

My team looks like this
QB-Brees
RB-Ball, Ellington
WR-Cruz, DJac
Flex-MJD/Colston
TE-Rudolph
DST-Bears(streaming for week 1)
K-Janikowski

I like the first 3 rounds if Ellington holds up and Ball has learned to block.

Let me get this straight.....

You kept Rodgers, then you picked Brees in the second round? That makes no sense to me, but I'm guessing you lose your second round pick for keeping Aaron Rodgers? If not, you probably should've take a wr there. I don't much like the short quick receivers like djax and Cruz. I like the big receivers that their QBs don't mind throwing it up to them in a crunch. Smaller, Speed receivers are way too inconsistent for me.

I think this is better. Not sure about the Rodgers/Brees thing, but I do like that you got two up and coming RBs early.

One thing I have noticed is that you seem to have an affinity for vets who used to be studs on the downside of their careers, and also for rookies. I am not saying to avoid these groups all together, but keep in mind that it is second and third year players who generally make those explosive breakouts capable of turning a heavy profit on a mid round pick.

Cruz in the 4th, MJD in the 6th, Colston in the 7th doesn't really give you upside or safety. I would much rather go with fresher options at those spots (but not necessarily rookies).

The other thing I liked is that you did not give in to the DST run. Nice job waiting.

Brees may also end up being a keeper in my league by someone else. But tbh the two are interchangeable. It made more sense in early second to draft Brees in a mock draft so people would not think I'm dumb.

It was either him or Wallace for that round.

Cruz was the best available among receivers there. I could have gotten Patterson but that may have been too early. Fitzgerald, Crabree, Garcon it was pretty much in that range.

I take any of those over Cruz, except Patterson

Well I did a new one, picked 10th. This time went big WR
1.Green over Bryant(who is probably a keeper) and DThomas
2.Brees(Rodgers was taken one spot earlier)
3.Spiller. Ellington, Stacy, Brown, JT were gone.
4.Gore. Might have been a reach here.
5.Rice. He may or may not, he's RB3 though.
6.Wallace
7.Decker. He and Wallace are my 2/3 WR
8.Rudolph
9.Watkins. Once again, my preferred defenses were gone. Denver was still around though
10.Austin(Tavon).
11.Michael
12.Cooks
13.Hyde
14.Steelers
15.Janikowski

Here, I think I may be on the right path of getting a RB in second round. As when I got to 3, Spiller was the best there was and the best receiver was VJac. So in order to protect Spiller, I had to get Gore and Rice in hoping I end up getting a true RB 1 out of at least one of them. I don't like Wallace as WR2 I just don't. So I had to stockpile on Watkins, Austin, and Cooks who have breakout potential.
