I don't think its any coincidence too that it comes with zajac back. Mostly in that you now have 3 lines that will test the other team and be a threat at all times.

agree 100% at home big night coming off a road trip this couldve been a letdown game. instead gut check and they didnt stop once they got the lead. sure a 3-2 win wouldve been nice and maybe typical devils teams of the past but way to go for the 6 spot give the fans what they want a full 60min effort winning by putting pucks in the net!

Its amazing how well a team can play when the crowd is pumped up. Last night was the best Ive seen the offense play in years and I think a lot of it had to do with the ceremony and the crowd being into it from the opening faceoff.

Was my first up close look at our rookies and Im really impressed..and we need to resign Parise now.

Sounded like he wanted to see how we looked beyond this season for chances at the Cup, he has to like what the youngsters around him, especially his center , have been doing so far. I think Zach will stay.

Also, he probably wanted to see if last year repeated itself which I thank god it did not.

For this season comparing to previous one - I think it has to do with Zach being with his team on the ice. He is and he will make a good captain for years. He inspires even Kovy who started playing better one forechecking by Zach example.
