He's a healthy Chad Pennington. He'll make the occasional deep pass. Having AJ Green will help improve that area (and that would go for any QB). But his ability to run the offense, move the chains, throw darts from 7-15 yards on the slants and out/in routes compares very much to Pennington. Plus, as it has been pointed out, he's a big time leader. Guys WANT to play for him. He simply just gets the job done. He may not look the prettiest doing it. He may not have the best deep ball...but when it matters, he can make it count.

However, it sounds like a guy others would want to rally around. When AJ was lining up wrong, he got him back in place without yelling at him like Carson did. Guys want to play hard for a leader like that.
