Miles Garret requested a trade out of Cleveland. Of course the Browns said they won't trade him, but they should as they need to tear that thing down and tank for the 2026 draft. While many would say pass rush or edge isn't a need I would disagree. While Bonito and Cooper put up great sack numbers they are minus run defenders. Watching Buffalo make them completely irrelevant in the second half of that game running the ball makes me believe upgrades are warranted. Garret would take this defense from a very good defense that feasted against bad teams to one that can actually compete against good teams. Bonito a 1st, a 2nd and a 4th for Garrett? Is that even enough to get him though?

Seriously Garrett is no doubt a great player. But no way do I give up that kind of draft resources for any one player. First of all, we have too many needs to give up the top half of our draft board for him. Secondly, any player is one bad injury away from his career being finished. I’ll take my chance of 4 players out surviving any 1 player.

As expected Bills will release Von Miller. Who has really hinted he would like to end his career in Denver. Not a lot left in the tank looking at the last two years but would be sorta neat to sign him for his potential final year as a cheap, depth, situational pass rusher . His heart has always remained in Denver.

Jaire Alexander and Chris Godwin look likely to be moving on from their teams.

I would support this. Von still has a little bit of value left as a situational guy/vet leader. He is a real student of the game and would help the young edge players. Would also be a good signal to the rest of the league that the Broncos take care of their greats.

While I wouldn't mind Hill, I would hope it is for a very low guaranteed money contract as he is now 35 and has been injured a bit recently. He also can't be the only add on to fill that Joker roll given his injury history and age.
