So what games are you all hoping to watch tomorrow? Or do you take the bye week off from football as well?
Houston/Chiefs game looks very intriguing.
All of them.

I just checked the roster on the Denver Broncos official site and they have him listed as a DE at 280 pounds.
He is definitely a tweener when it comes to being either an OLB or a DE. Part of the reason I hated the pick is I just didn't think he was a great fit with this defense. I also struggle to see him having the frame to put on say the 20 lbs. possibly needed to play inside and hold up as a starter.
And I agree with DC that once Shane Ray comes back good chance they figure out some way for Walker to go on IR. Give him a year to just go hang out in the weight room and hope he can come back like we saw with Gotsis and be a whole new player. And I will say it is very nice for the Broncos that they have 2 possible impact players coming back midway through the season like Ray and hopefully Butt. Give them a nice boost to both sides of the field.
Take a look at who we have at the position:
99 Gotsis, Adam DE 6-4 287 25 2 Georgia Tech
96 Harris, Shelby DE 6-2 290 26 3 Illinois State
92 Kerr, Zach DE 6-2 334 27 4 Delaware
57 Walker, DeMarcus DE 6-4 280 23 R Florida State
95 Wolfe, Derek DE 6-5 285 27 6 Cincinnati
I don't know how accurate those weights are. If they are accurate then I think Walker is easily within striking distance of physically fitting in with our better DE's: Wolfe and Gotsis. Even Harris. Give Walker some playing time this year and then give him an NFL off season. Could have something there. Kerr looks like a guy you put in there on running downs and maybe Walker can be a guy that you put in there on passing downs. In relief of our impact guys.
I haven't been on top of it but last I checked we have both Pekos on the active roster as well as the ex-Seahawk guy for DT. We also have a DT on the Practice Squad that has shown some promise. So do we keep a 334 pound DE like Kerr on the active roster to play DT on passing downs? Or do we go with who we have at DT and slip Walker in at DE? Or do we push little Peko back to the Practice Squad and keep both Kerr and Walker active? There are a few options here and I hope they are figuring this out during the bye week.
Is that related at all to your injury of puttingoneselfinconversationthathasnothingtodowithhim by any chance?[/QUOTEur
Wow that's clever.
My guess is little Peko goes back to the Practice Squad. Most likely the team can keep him available if an injury happens.
Well last I knew Gotsis and Wolfe for sure were closer to 300 lbs. this year than the listed weights there. And it isn't just about weight but the ability to anchor in the run game. That was Walker's biggest issue in college is that he would get blown off the LOS even by TE's that were smaller than him. He just struggles to know how to hold the POC and then know how to shed a blocker to make a play. He was my least favorite pick in the draft and I think so far he has played exactly like that.
I think he's competing with the ex-Seahawk for a spot on the roster, and I think he loses that competition partly because we should be able to stash him on the PS.
Can you link the source stating Gotsis/Wolfe were at 300 pounds? I haven't seen that. I have not been impressed with Walker at OLB. At all. Not even a little bit. I think he's too big to play there, and that he has too much mass to be able to get into position on a consistent basis. But I do think he has the potential to be an impact player for us at DE. We've been giving him reps and that's fine. We've been banged up and missing people. But now Kerr is back and Shane Ray should be back. I don't think there's a spot for him on the game day roster now. I'd like to see him practice at DE from here on out. Let our coaches develop him and let him get in an NFL off season. Only activate him if we get too thin at DE.
