When I lived in Denver - I lived in the area Sonny Liston had a home - I used to see him sometimes at the gas station my Dad used to trade at. It is hard to convey just how unbeatable Sonny Liston's reputation as a fighter was. I saw the Liston/Clay fight on closed circuit at a theater in Denver in 1964 - and rooted for Cassius Clay as the underdog.

I was a Joe Frazier fan, and saw George Foreman knock him down 6 times in 2 rounds of boxing (lost a large bet on that one). Ali completely won me over - when he beat Foreman in Zaire - in the Rumble in the Jungle. Ali used the Rope a Dope tactic and let Foreman tire himself out throwing punches at him - then knocked him out - it was such a combination of bravery and smarts to win over a massively superior Heavyweight puncher - that I became a big Ali fan- every since.

Unfortunately the Cards after an incredible run of staying at the top or near the top of baseball seem to be having a very unlucky year. They have the 3rd highest run differential in all of baseball yet their record does not show that at all. Keep losing the close ones.

Yeah hopefully that picks up soon. They seem to get better as the season goes on. But I just don't feel it this year.

Oh we are as happy as can be! Our guys just got their Super Bowl bling yesterday! No way during an off season after winning a Super Bowl can you be anything but happy!
