I was just thinking how similar Albert O's two TDs this season were. On both occasions, Albert O caught a pass around the 5 yard line and just flung himself 5 yards downfield toward the pilon for two amazing 25 foot dives for touchdowns. He needs to get more red zone chances he is his going to fling himself for points like that.

I was sorry to see John Madden pass away. RIP. He was even likable as the Raiders coach - by being independent from Al Davis on who ran the football team on the field.

You could make an argument with John Madden being the greatest NFL HC ever .. With a 103-32-7 record, it's hard to argue ... But beyond that, he was an icon, a larger-than-the-game personality who became a household name for who he was ..

I liked Al Davis, I liked John Madden .. Those old school, pioneering personalities are to be appreciated for what they meant to the NFL, and, to the rivalry with the Broncos .... These men were football, were the NFL, and represented the game so much better than some faceless investment group ..

i was there in 1978 for the Holy Roller play.

Madden lost 30 games total in his coaching career
Fangio will lose 30 in his first 3 years and maybe for his HC career

This isn’t a hyper active board - to say the least! I wish we had a few more active participants, but on the other hand the only jerks are LGM and Orange Crush!

Draft season upcoming is usually a pretty good time of year on this site with several of the posters really adding to my limited knowledge.
