I loved Talib and hated to see him go, but something tells me that these things would have cropped up whther he was here or somewhere else ..

When Champ suffered that injury - if memory serves, it was also referred to as a "sprain" - he was never the same ....

Father Time catches up with CBs really fast ..... that said, I hope Talib has a few good years left

I see Derek Stingley Jr. is a top DB recruit out of Frisco Texas this year. He is the grandson of Darryl Stingley who was left paralyzed on the field by a Jack Tatum hit - and died in 2007. Pretty interesting fam.

Yes- LSU is a leader for him, but they were also the leader for Patrick Surtain JR last year and Bama stole him last minute.

The Buffs went to 5-0. Don't sleep on the Buffs - they have shown they can spread it out and play fast - and also - dominate the run game right up the gut - to run the clock out (against ASU - the ate the last 7:20 off the clock in a final drive). You can see Montez becoming more confident with each game - and he could be a difference maker in the next couple of games against - the PAC12 monsters - USC and Washington.

Liviska is a superstar (his brother and mother were at the game on Saturday) - the defense has only given up 3 points in the 4th quarter during 5 games. Travon McMillian has churned for over 100 yards in 4 out of 5 games.

I give them a very good shot on the road vs USC. USC has a very young (and talented team) but have some growing pains this year.

JT Daniels their QB is going to be something special. I think Colorado pulls off the top rough win.. USC's D while not bad has showed some mental hurdles with the youth movement this year. It all depends on what JT Daniels shows up. The super star rocking vs Washington State, or the FR humps and bumps one that showed up against Utah.

RIP - Hall of Famer Jim Taylor of the Lombardi era Packers. I grew up watching the Packer backfield of Starr, Hornung and Taylor (and hating their dominance). Jim Taylor was the FB - a great blocker and wonderful short yardage back. Even Springstein probably remembers him.

.. ya gotta give some props to Bill Musgrave for what he did with Carr and that offense while he was there .. Starting last season, Carr has looked like a different - bad - QB ....

I'm not sure a coaching change on this Bronco team should include Musgrave

Carr has really changed since his injury. He feels phantom pressure now. He plays scared. I think that injury really messed him up mentally.
