Rings a bell. What team did he play for?
Isn't he the guy that has more Super Bowl rings than the entire Seahawks franchise has in their history?
I would say McCaffrey was good but we are talking about the Ring of Fame here. He wasn't even the best receiver on the team when he was with the Broncos.
I saw some Broncos fans upset that a guy like Ed McCaffrey didn't make it. To that I would say McCaffrey was good but we are talking about the Ring of Fame here. He wasn't even the best receiver on the team when he was with the Broncos.
The counter argument is the Ring of Fame is for the fans - so long time fan favorites should be memorialized especially Eddie Mac. He made clutch plays - he made the difference in the outcome of games - even while not compiling all the stats. The simple guide of stats memorializes guys who may have been beneficiaries of great QBs, or league trends -he may have compiled stats, but never come through with the game on the line.
The problem with Eddie Mac is - only one of his sons has won the Heisman Trophy. I would expect more out of a Ring of Famer.
Sacrilege! The McCaffery's are heroes in this town.
They would have been if they stayed and played for the Buffs.
I liked the part where Eddie Mac would cut the unnecessary parts off his cleats - just to make them lighter and grab an edge in the game (or to get into the head of the guy covering him).
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.
