Had just returned to my Fraternity house after a.m. classes to find that someone happened to have the launch broadcast on the tv in the living room: Saw it all unfold live.

I took an early lunch with another supervisor when we saw it happen on TV we just looked at each other and said "What the fuck, not good!" RIP crew.


To my fellow Buffalonians and southern Ontario neighbors this is also the anniversary of the famous Blizzard of 1977. A snow storm I'll never forget. 29 people died.

I was in 6th grade. We didn't watch it live but we were told about it after recess.

My family and I went the Kennedy Space Center a few weeks later on vacation. It was really strange.
