Thinking of catching a game in August.. Suggestions??

Well, I might be heading to PA in August for a few days and I have always wanted to see the park and catch a game.

I will be going in August (20-24th is). Any suggestions on where to go? Where Should I get tickets? What seats should I avoid, etc?

You will probably see the Cardinals and the Phillies. Check out Stubhub for tickets and a diagram of the seating. Just go to Espn Phillies clubhouse site for a link to Phillies schedule. Have a nice trip!

Thank you! I was on the Phillies website the other day, haven't gotten tickets yet because this trip might not happen, but just wondering what seats I should get. I was thinking of going that Friday which would be the Cardinals. Just didn't know if there are any "obstructed" view seats like at Fenway

There are only a few rows with partial obstruction. They are in the last 2-3 rows in grandstand as there is a slight overhang. The best grandstand seats are in section 419 to 422. This is the right field side so you can also view the scoreboard. also the 1st baseline seats provide a great view. The rest of the park provides unobstructed views. Please note to avoid the right field baseline seats as the foul pole will cause you to lean to left or right. Best of luck!

Sox fan: I prefer the first base line field level seats because you're facing the large left field scoreboard. Section 115 is first base then 3 sections up or down gives you a great view, 112 - 118. Plus the concourse with the food and brew is nearby.

I was half joking. I mean I hate the gay Red Sox and their gay fans, but you're welcome to visit our beautiful park. I got a tour at Fenway a couple of years ago. It was a pretty cool park, but I never did see a game.

As for me, I've always been a first base line type of guy. I never liked the view from behind the plate and I've never tried the outfield. I always go with Stubhub if you're looking for a place to get the tickets.

If you're not going until late August I'd make sure to lock down those tickets now. If you wait too long and it turns out that is the weekend that they clinch the division you could end up paying a lot more

Brews are about $7 -$8 or so. I forget. I was drunk. Those seats are around $55 or so, cheaper as you go farther down the line. Use the filter on Stub hub to get a picture of seats available in certain price ranges. Also they changed the section numbering. 112 - 118 is like 32-38.

I just checked the phillies website and they have a ton of seats! Granted I can't wait but I still haven't been able to confirm with work if I can get it off. That and I need my Philly friends to tell me if they are coming or not

FINALLY was approved for the time off so I am thinking about hitting the Phillies Game on August 22nd which is that Friday.

Still best chance at getting tickets through Stubhub? Or do you think I still could get decent seats through the Phillies website?
