I actually worked for an organization that sent people all over the world. We actually had a guy hired just to do security threats based on world news for where the teams were. We had teams in Afghanistan, South Africa, all over South America. When we got back for the Summer my team had actually gone to Miami and he said that he had more reports and threats in Miami than the rest of the places combined. He said he was more worried about our team than any of them outside the United States in very hostile locations.

I will say I loved living in Miami but I also definitely had some very late nights up with the cops for things that were happening in our neighborhood. Had the police recommend our team sleep with baseball bats every night.
