Harbaugh had a losing record at Stanford his first two years. Then Andrew Luck started playing. I think there is a tendency to give credit to Harbaugh that should go to Luck for turning the program around. Shaw has kept them as a top tier team, but this year will show a lot regarding both of these coaches.

When Swenson called Tuesday, he said he was told by Drevno that there were “no spots left.” He said he asked to speak with Harbaugh but “he didn’t want to talk to me.”

Swenson said he helped recruit some members of the 2016 class, adding: “I just felt used.”

Don’t feel bad, kid. It’s how Harbaugh does business. It’s called “over-recruiting.” Or “Colter-ing."

Harbaugh recruited luck. Going by that theory no coach should ever get credit because he didn't play, his players did. I absolute give credit to luck for turning Stanford around but someone got him to choose Stanford over others.

You do make a good point with Shaw, he has kept them there. He gets a ton of credit for that. (He has won two rose bowls) But he didn't inherit the 1-11 shitshow Jim H did. That's why I think Harbaugh should get a bunch of credit.

I do recall somewhere prior to graduating learning something about satire along the way...apparently not a subject covered at free shoes university. I can understand, I would be humorless too if I had to stay in Tallenasty for longer than a couple of days.
