It wasnt super exciting but I didnt think it was a snoozer I thinker it set up a lot of what will happen in the future of the season and it had some exciting parts to it.

I liked it better than the last one.

Richard is a little crazy. Rosita is a little crazy. I sense some self improvement character arc/death scenes in their future.

Rick vs the metal zombie was cool. The show has really stepped up it's game on zombie kills lately.

Jerry fucking rocks. Dude is awesome

Also the BCS teaser was just perfect

My thoughts exactly. They are by the far the most annoying group that we've ever seen on the show. Really hate the way they act and talk. So unrealistic. And yes I realize I just used the term "unrealistic" to describe human behavior in a show about zombies.

Even the new characters in the books don't compare to the original batch of characters. Negan is funny, but over the top. Jesus is kinda cool, but still a bit of a background character. Zeke is ok, but not enough to get super excited about. Dwight is probably the best character in the books of all the "new" guys.

My point is that none of them are Dale, Glenn, Shane or Hershall (hell, even Otto was a great character in the books). At some point, the concept loses steam, no matter how good or bad the writing is.

Yeah. There's should be a reason for a group to be a certain way. This one doesn't make much sense.

So I tried to watch the premier last night. Made it about half way.

Holy shit is it sad what this once great show has become.

I was really praying that Rick was going to tell Ezekiel, "Look... I get it... You're 'The King' and you got this whole 'I talk funny' bit, and you got a Tiger, but it's just us in here so drop the shit, or I'm gonna have this colored girl with dreadlocks behead your kitty while my son, Coral, here sodomizes it."

They really missed an opportunity to Make The Walking Dead Great Again. Had to turn it off after that.

Yeah, watching it has had an obligatory feel for a few seasons. Sure, there were some cool episodes in that time, but mostly just garbage.

The fact that it took me one week to even get around to trying to watch the friggin premiere only to turn it off half-way through the episode doesn't bode well to me seeing this whole season.

When I find myself looking at the clock multiple times during a one hour episode to see how much more I have to watch, I know I'm watching crap.

Yeah, the new group is a little strange to say the least and the writing for the dialog with them is as lame as jar jar binks.

A lot of storyline setup this week and that's fine if there is a payoff at some point.

I hope Carol finds out Daryl lied to her about everyone being ok and she just goes full on rambo or something. There needs to be a solid payoff for her role going so slow/stale.
