Of course the cameras can zoom-in if the director chooses to do so. But only ONE of the eleven needs to be altered in post-production CGI FX editing. Again, it's relatively inexpensive, and most likely all 11 actors were already filmed lying down in a pool of blood last season.

I've acted in three films, and post production editing is capable of changing A LOT from what we see on the live set.

DUDE

They have 15 fucking episodes to film after it. Why don't you get that???

They can't just "choose" who dies later

And they have specifically said they are now filming 11 different death scenes to throw us off.

What the fuck does last season have to do with anything? The idea is they are trying to hide it now. But it isn't possible. If Norman Reedus is filming episodes 2,4,6,7 and 8. And Abraham is filming in 3,5,6,7 and 8 they can just randomly choose them to die lmao. Every storyline would be gone.

It's Glenn or Abraham. They can lie all they want about procedures that aren't possible. But it's been narrowed down to two. Maybe Sasha but that's lame as fuck.

We seem to be talking apples and oranges. I NEVER said production staff will choose who dies later. The choice of who dies very well might have been made 12 or more months ago, possibly even prior to the beginning of last season's production!

I'm simply addressing/shooting down your argument of the supposed difficulty & expense of shooting 11 actors separately... that's all. It's NOT an expensive and difficult thing to do. Again, that is the ONLY issue I have discussed.... go back and read my previous few posts, as they will confirm that I am NOT discussing when any choice of who dies was made (or any other issue).... I'm but simply emphasizing the relative ease and low expense of filming 11 actors lying down.... again, that's the ONLY issue I'm speaking on.... I have not addressed anything about any of the 'information' being leaked about this season because much of that stuff is probably just smoke screen garbage.

Again, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the decision on who dies was made over a year ago!

Well then you clearly didn't read the article. Because I am talking about specific things that have been said.

And it's physically impossible.

I also didn't get into the money it would cost to tell Steven Yeun to hang around set to make Glenn appear alive.

They made the dumbest cliff hanger decision ever and are scrambling hard core now even threatening law suits because spoil the dead has already almost cracked it.

This isn't LOST where they just filmed 5 guys in a coffin

I am enjoying this discussion. Different POVs, maybe not on the same page, but enjoyable still.

Screw it! I say Gimple should be the one! :pound::pound::pound:

You say I clearly didn't read the article.....Huh? What does that have to do with anything?

Of course I read the article.... but I have NOT been discussing the article.... at all! ONCE AGAIN (and this is getting VERY repetitive)..... I have simply been discussing the relative ease and low cost of filming 11 actors lying down in a blood stain scene..... THAT'S ALL I'm addressing! Again, it would be no problem to do those 11 separate shots, because the detailed work in that shot would be done in post-production by the editors for only ONE of the 11 separate actors.

Again, I have NOT been talking about any other issues (including the article). However, I will now change-up a bit and paste a quote from the article:

The Walking Dead has filmed eleven separate death scenes, one for each character that was present, and then producers and directors will work with the editors to pick the character that actually ends up dead.

See.... just what I was talking about.... the scenes were probably ALREADY shot for all 11 actors. Eventually, the producers & directors will give ONE of the eleven scenes the go ahead to the editors. I am not surprised at all that the editors are not privy to the info of who dies. Going on a need to know basis, the editors don't need to know who dies until the producers/directors decide to tell them to start work on the post production editing process.

Also, we need to realize that the info we see in these 'articles', is most likely loaded with plenty of false & smokescreen info..... in other words, don't believe everything you read on the internet! Again, I would hazard a guess that the top few people involved in the production probably knew a long time ago who would die.

It seems we are not on the 'same page'..... discussing the same thing.

Once again and yes it is repetitive.

They say SCENES. Not a guy lying down. If they are really choosing later(as I keep saying isn't possible anyways). The SCENE is different if Glenn dies compare to Rosita compared to Maggie compared to Carl.

They literally have to film 11 different scenes. You don't understand that? And they are not just gonna go with POV that the finale ended with them cut to dead body anyways they have said as much.

You posted the article, I said its lying.

It would cost too much money. They didn't film them last season(again unless more lying is happening), the can't choose later down the line and they would have to literally shoot the same scene completely different 11 times and pay actors to come to set to not act for many episodes.

Once again and please God let this be the last time. There was nothing to hide last season, they didn't need to shoot 11 scenes. It's right now that they are claiming they did not last year in late November. It doesn't make any sense

It cannot be done, it hasn't been done. The are lying because they have people like you who will believe what they say.

It would cost a shit ton and that's a fact. Another thing that's been all over spoil the dead from people who know the shooting and budget

Alrighty, here's my "common sense" opinion...which could be funny in itself. ;)

Glenn is the main entree. He will be the episode(s?) end game.

Abe, and possibly one more, will be the appetizers. I pick Sasha, 'cuz it's too soon to take my little avocado Rosita away. Bueno! Bueno! I love you, my spicy little taco! However, I digress.

I wonder how the story will unfold, and through which character's eyes?

Been thinking about it a bit, and they could possibly pull off a fascinating story...just sayin', it is enough to keep me interested at this point. And that is their goal, right?

What if...what if they do live up to the hype and pull off a great one? I swear, I'll bite...one more time.

One more time...

It's actually looking entirely possible that one person(probably Glenn) gets bashed and then another(probably Abe) gets killed as well for acting out.

So really not a bad guess!!!

Yeah, but the point will be how they tell the story.

That will be the deciding factor of how they pull this off, imo. Honestly? In the world of great storytelling, who dies will be secondary.

Even my Rosita doesn't matter...as long as the as the story is strong and true.

Seriously...if they pull off a great story on this one, it will be what matters, imo.

I'm sorry but if Daryl is filming scenes 3 episodes later with Negan and Dwight.....they can't just all of a sudden say "wait seasons almost over its time to kill Daryl" lmao.

And yet, the show must go on, so now apparently cast members are being shuffled around set in hoods so that photographers or even spy drones don’t snap photos and guess who is alive based on those.

No idea if the article is true or not and don't really care to debate it. However when I read that quote it appears to me they aren't claiming the victim will be shooting any other scenes for season 7 other than the death scene. Unless I'm missing something, that heavily implies that the actor is done so they don't want people to see who's left and figure it out by process of elimination.

Lol, in rereading my last post or two, I was a bit redundant on "story". Sorry.

Exactly which shows why they can't or wouldn't shoot all these deaths scenes and choose later

Such a shit storm though

I can't help but think they are going to drag this out with flashbacks and shit like that. I hope not, but if everyone is on set, and they know who has already been killed, then why else would they be on set filming? I mean it could be just one episode that actor (the one killed) is in, or multiple flashbacks, but they may drag that filming out for months.

Bottom line, they messed up. They went about it all wrong. I am down for a good cliffhanger, but man they could have went in so many directions if they showed who got the Negan beat down.

Again, not sure how reliable it is but the suggestion is that they could in fact do that but the actors are "being shuffled around set in hoods" so that they can't be identified. They'd likely have to wear hoods to and from set as well. I agree that it seems a bit far-fetched but I've heard of crazier things.

Every actor has been spotted on multiple occasions except for 3. They can't film everything in the studios so everyone is spotted eventually

Yeah I was just in the middle of editing my post saying that maybe I was interpreting that part about shuffling them around in hoods wrongly. I read that to mean the intent is to hide who is still part of the cast at all, but since they only mention "around set" and not to and from, perhaps they just mean to disguise who is going to be in what scenes, with what other cast members, how many scenes etc.

First - you are misinterpreting the term 'scene'.... an actor lying down and being filmed in a death pose IS a scene. I have worked in the business a little bit (theatrical films and stage, not TV).

2nd - you typed: 'They literally have to film 11 different scenes.' Sure.... but again, they can be very simple/basic death poses combined with simple close-up facial reaction shots by the other living characters, plus a bit of post production FX for the eventual chosen victim.

3rd - you just stated the following: And they are not just gonna go with POV that the finale ended with them cut to dead body.....

....why not? Be careful of what you 'read on the internet'. The makers of the show do not HAVE to show the physical action of the victim getting his head bashed-in on camera. Sure, they COULD..... but they don't HAVE to.... again, they don't HAVE to. You don't understand that? (see how I just copied & bolded that condescending phrase that you typed). If the producers & directors wish to add-in a graphic action head smashing scene in addition to a death pose, they can certainly choose to do so.... but I have my doubts about them going in such a graphic direction. The gruesome smashing sounds while the camera is fixed on Negan are quite sufficient & dramatic enough, anything more than that is unnecessary. Sometimes, very often..... less is more. Plus.... if they do eventually decide to film/show a brief action shot of a head being beat-in, remember, it's a bloody prop with make-up/goo effects, no actor needed for that approx. two second close-up shot.

4th - another item you typed : 'They didn't film them last season.' ??? How the heck do you know that? Is it something you 'read on the internet'? Why don't you think they couldn't have filmed each of the 11 actors in a simple & quick death pose on the ground? Of course they COULD have. I'm not saying they definitely did.... but they COULD have! It would have been a smart thing to do because - remember it was late November, the leaves were turned, and breath was coming out of the actors mouths! Filming in that unique environment in November makes complete sense. Again, I'm not saying they definitely did film 11 death poses last November (and again, filming a death pose IS a scene), but they COULD have because it would be a little more challenging to emulate late November Autumn conditions in June. In June they would probably do tight shots, and either add special effects breath to Negan and the other living characters in their facial reaction shots, or just simply ignore the visible breath continuity problem (most likely).

5th - you also typed: 'anyways they have said as much.' As I stated in a previous post, don't believe everything you see on the internet from they! I'm petty confident that smokescreen/false info has been released because it has been done with other productions in the past.

6th - this one you typed is a beauty and takes the cake: "they have people like you who will believe what 'they say'." Ummmmm.... lol....I'm the one who stated to NOT believe what you see on the internet! I guess you did not understand the stuff I typed in my previous posts. Go back and read my posts.... I dare ya, starting with my first one when I mentioned the 'who shot JR' smokescreen murder scenes from Dallas.

Remember when you accused me of not reading the article, and I stated that I am not even discussing the stuff in the article, but simply stating how relatively simple and inexpensive it is to have all 11 actors filmed in a death pose. And now, how can you accuse me of believing what 'they say', when I'm not even discussing what 'they' are saying!!! Again, I'm simply talking about the relative ease and low expense of shooting 11 death poses! I was not even discussing anything about what they say. I'm simply shooting down your insistence that it is expensive to film 11 deaths... because as I explained, it can be done in a relatively quick, simple, inexpensive manner which does not involve extensive action, but rather, implied violence, post production sound & visual effects for only one of the eleven, combined with the facial reaction shots of the other actors.

My point is (and has been for my 5 previous posts) that the scene is dramatic & quite brutal enough with the camera focused on Negan. A graphic action-filled head smashing scene is unnecessary. A simple death pose is enough (with the smashed-in head CGI FX added in later). The concepts of less is more, and K.I.S.S. (keep it simple, stupid) come into play quite often in productions.

Any kind of extensive head-beating action sequences are unnecessary. To throw people off and keep them guessing who died, 11 simple death poses (just like the 'who shot JR' multiple murderer scenes from Dallas) are the way to go, with of course the accompanied close-up horror-filled facial reaction shots of Rick and the other still living characters. And of course, those close-up facial reaction shots can be used for the death of any of the characters.

Brief story-
I was performing in a 'head trauma' scene in the film Real Steel where a robot had his head punched-off. We used a football which was tossed into the air by the assistant director! The stunt men in their body suits portraying the robots were not even needed for that particular shot. Later in post production, the CGI head was added-in to replace the 'high tech' football prop...hehe. Again, K.I.S.S.

Peace!

Mah..I really don't care about it any more....haven't watched the show avidly since season 4.

I'm much more looking forward to the upcoming seasons of:

The Strain (very underrated series..imho)

Fargo (one of the best on tv)

Better Call Saul (top notch show..has it all)

Z-Nation (Another zombie apocalypse series. It's cheap thrills for sure...complete with a low budget, decent scripts, okay acting and dark humor....which makes it thoroughly enjoyable)
