They seriously are trying to play like that isn't the Kingdom? Alexandria and the Hilltop have no prayer against the saviors without the kingdom. Shiva is another story.

I can't believe Negan killed the camera man, what a prick!!!

Anyways, like most of you....not to happy with the final, kind of boring. Lets drive a big ass RV around with a shit ton of commercials, and then 10 min of the man we have been waiting all season for...I feel they could have done so much more. Show the killing. Leave Daryl out of the last scene making everyone wonder where the fuck he is...leave Carol on the street after getting shot with walkers coming towards her. Did Maggie lose the baby? I kind of at this point, don't care who gets killed. I almost feel like they will kill someone and be like "OK time to move on to another story plot". I would have rather talked about whoever got killed and curious about Maggie, Daryl, Carol until October...Now I am thinking "will they show the killing right away (E1) or are we going to have watch 3 episodes of someones flashbacks. Will it be an episode of Tara and what's his name on the road or are they going to show what happened in Alexandra when they were gone" All the things I should not be thinking about after a great season, I will be thinking about....they fucked up bad IMO....

Anyways I am sticking to my guns......Killing Daryl is a weak way out. Glenn gets it and Maggie losses the baby over it.

Well this was interesting....decent article I read, makes some good points as to who got the "bat"

That's interesting because I thought it was one of those 4 as well but for a completely different reason. This reason makes perfect sense and its one of those thigns that in hindsight makes one wonder how they didn't think of this already. It could possibly be a red herring but I doubt it.

The reason I thought it was one of those 4 relates to what people have been discussing about how they can keep who it was a secret during filming of season 7. If someone is suddenly absent, people will figure it out. I'm pretty sure that when they decided to end it with a cliffhanger they thought all of this through. I assume they have a plan for that. Otherwise, why not just show it to end the season if there's a good chance people will find out before the premier anyway? All they would need to do is have that actor present as often (or reasonably close to it) as the actors of the other potential candidates. We've seen characters left off several episodes at a time or appear very little. A lot of the first half of the season could focus on Carol and Morgan and/or Tara and Heath, with the occasional look in on Spencer and Gabriel and the rest of Alexandria. Obviously they can't completely ignore this set of characters. We'll have to have a scene that immediately picks up where this season left off to reveal who it was, so that would naturally include the actor. How else are they going to give the actor approximately the same screen time as the other candidates? They could be a zombie but I doubt that would last long. It would most likely have to be done through flashbacks as others have mentioned. I think at that point in the story it would make a lot more sense to show a flashback to show what happened with Daryl, Glen, Michonne, and Rosita after being caught and before the final scene of the season. We have a general idea but there's still a bit of a gap there and it could be interesting to show some interaction they might have had with Negan, Dwight, and some other saviours. I really can't see how a flashback that would include anyone that was travelling in the RV with Rick would fit into the story at this point,

Honestly your very plausible theories on filming/storylines once again prove how fucking stupid this was.

For the sole purpose of having a pointless fan angering cliff hanger they will possibly have to resort to flashbacks, having many characters skip episodes, wait to fully show what happened etc...

There is a strong chance you are somewhat right. And by God is it gonna make them look like bigger fucking assholes.

Nah, they wouldn't do that...would they? Seems like a logical assumption...

I had thought about the point of view thing the other day but didn't think about seeing somebody's head ahead of the POV. If that is the case, then Darryl is safe. I doubt it is Michonne and Rosita...that means they are staying true to the comics here.

Next question...seriously, where are Tara and Heath? If the saviors are out in that mass, how are they not captured or killed? Is that possibly how the saviors were that far ahead of the game the last couple of episodes?

I posted a pic of Glenn with Jesus before the season even started, not even realizing it was essentially a spoiler :(

Speaking of which, where is Jesus supposed to be at this time?

Also, who was that guy that the saviors beat, spray painted and hung at the road blocks? Was he supposed to be from Hilltop, or some other group?

I think he went back to Hilltop. I'm not totally sure.

I think he was Hilltop. Didn't they say something that alluded to this? I can't really remember.

That's a good question...adds to the flashback story-telling possibilities.

Would AMC put enough in the budget for a real tiger?

This is not directed at you, specifically, but I've got a rant, and you triggered its release.

I'm sofa king tired of hearing about how AMCs budget will prevent them from doing this or doing that. It's bullshit. They've got one of the most popular shows on cable television ever, which appeals to and captures one of the most coveted and elusive demographics in advertising.

They've had some pretty grand scenes and special effects, particularly over the last few seasons. I've neither the time nor inclination to research this, but I highly doubt TWD would be the first television program to feature a tiger. Shit, I was a trade show where a small(ish) company had a live fucking Kodiak bear in it's booth. You're telling me a tiger is out of reach for TWD? I'd bet Gunther Gebel-Williams has a nephew or two that would bring a tiger around for less than the cost of an Escalade.

I'm not suggesting that AMC/TWD has an unlimited budget, but unless someone who works for AMC or TWD's production team has actually been in the planning/budgeting meetings, I wish we could all just STFU about financial constraints.

I haven't gotten that far in the books, but having an animal appear at a trade show is FAAAR different from having it appear in a TV show, unless it's going to just sit there and look pretty for one day.

Just sayin.'

And nope, don't work for AMC. But the continuity error with the van plunging off the raised highway is a good example of how tight they are with their shooting budgets. 'Fix it in post.'
