I have to admit I'm intrigued by the Carol character. Everytime she pleads with someone to just leave, I love how it ends up in a pool of blood. :) As Rick said, she's a force.

@calsnowskier was in on her way back when and I agree; she is a great character. It will be very interesting to see where she is headed.

I have been a huge fan of hers since at least S4, maybe as far back as S3b (her relationship with Otto was actually quite interesting).

In S4, she began her transformation into the Terminator. She taught the kids to handle weapons, she killed the girls' father (her first human kill), she took out David and Karen and she told the girl to look at the flowers.

In S5E1, she went full-Rambo, and she officially became the best character on the show. Rick's bowing to her, telling her that she was the real leader of the group was a great scene.

When she turned into Suzzie Homemaker in Alexandria was when she became one of the greatest characters in TV history. It showed that she is a true chameleon and can defeat her enemy / protect her family in any number of different ways.

Dont fuck with Mamma Bear!

Whoever it is that was killed, will still be shown in flashbacks and backstory, so they will still be a castmember that has to show up to shoot.

They could be full of it, but I swear Maggie said on Talking Dead, that they(the cast members) didn't even know who it was that was Lucilled.

Yes..... BUT..... only at first.

Season 7 filming begins next month in early May. Each year, filming of The Walking Dead's 16 episodes commences early-May and wraps late-November (6.5 month shooting schedule to make 16 episodes). Sure, the actor portraying the dead character will probably be filming some backstory/flashback stuff for a few weeks... BUT... the new season will not premier on AMC until mid-October!

So....come July & August & September when there is a conspicuous actor absent from the set on a regular basis, a leak will most likely happen prior to the mid-October opening episode premier. And remember the money constraints --- this is a TV series, not a big budget Hollywood film, so AMC cannot afford to pay lead actors to just sit around the set for six months! Heck, even a big budget film would not do that.

Correct, the crew nor actors did not know which character was killed by Negan... in fact, word has it that even the producers did not determine who the victim was back when this episode was shot just prior to Thanksgiving.

Why the fuck would 1) somebody that works for the show want to leak the info and/or 2) somebody that enjoys the show want to know before the premier?

People are fucking stupid.

Can't they just shoot the scene out of order then? Wait until the last minute possible for editing purposes.

It doesn't matter... even if they delay shooting the death scene outcome until October, the actor playing the dead character would have been missing from the set the entire previous 5+ months.

So the fact that [dead character] does not appear in any scenes will not give it away?

Correct... the actor will be conspicuously absent from the set most of the 6.5 month shooting season.

It's physically impossible for them to hide the death in today's technology driven world. It's gonna leak and it's gonna leak big time.

It's how everyone knew Glenn was gonna live earlier. The actor filmed scenes with Jesus who wasn't even introduced for another SIX episodes

And also, another reason the cliffhanger sucked is everyone is gonna be on the lookout for this spoiler because now we all know the death is coming.

So even if you don't look for spoilers this one is gonna hit the social media rounds hard and fuck people over

Leaks generally are generated by low-paid sub-contractors who are not direct employees such as security guard, catering assistant, janitorial assistant, delivery people, etc., or even a resident of the town (Senoia, GA) where most of the filming occurs. Note that some Senoia, GA residents near to the filming action are paid a little bit of hush-money (approx $400 per month) to keep their mouths shut.

The seduction of social media is powerful... many folks find it empowering to post stuff... it makes them feel self-important/relevant, and actually gives folks the illusion of having more meaning to their lives. Pretty sad, but that's the way our species works.

The same goes for fans who want to know the info ahead of time... it makes them feel 'special' to be able to say "ha-ha.... I know secret insider info".... again, it's about empowerment and trying to make oneself feel more relevant.

The same thing goes for early adopters when it comes to purchasing the latest/hottest/coveted merchandise..... This: "Ha-ha, I was the first in my neighborhood to get product XYZ".

Let's face it.... many many people suck!

I posted a pic of Glenn with Jesus before the season even started, not even realizing it was essentially a spoiler :(

More tidbits of wisdom from the master of doublespeak. I guess I need to wrap this in a spoiler.

On whether or not the men who helped Morgan and Carol are from The Kingdom, and whether or not he would use a real tiger as Kingdom leader Ezekiel’s pet:
“Those guys may or may not have been from the kingdom, and we may or may not do The Kingdom. If we do do The Kingdom, it will be a big reveal, and it will be another new world to inhabit and explore. Can we have a real tiger? I would say, in a really cheeky way, that we can have a lot of things. People are going to have to wait and see. If I were just watching the show, I’d want to see that tiger.”

Ha, dunno how that turned into a two-part spoiler, but I liked it.
