Yeah, ole Rosita was sorta spilling out of that top she had on...

Anyway, I'm pretty sure Carol left voluntarily this time unless I missed something.

No, I meant what did she do to the producers or directors to write her out of the script again. She was just getting interesting again. They are not giving any good reason for people wanting to leave. Was she convinced that they were the bad guys now and she would rather be a good guy? She would rather be alone than a bad guy? It really does not seem like they have to travel too far to find these saviors or neganites. If she does not want to kill anymore she should hang with Morgan. He is getting away with it. Just leaving now made no sense. Its like there is no leadership at all in alexandria, so it will be doomed to fail.

She was an annoying bitch, but there's no fucking way I'd have let her out of the compound without a better reason than some "face your fears" bullshit. She was the town's only doctor and shouldn't have been put in any type of harm's way unless absolutely necessary.

These zombie apocalypse survivors are fucking stupid.

Yeah that was fucking stupid, kinda like Maggie going out on adventures while prego.

A Rick-less episode definitely feels less intense, but I'm glad we got the arrow through the eye! And I wasn't sure who was getting it! Glad it wasn't the comic's character.

Also, I felt Daryl's anger towards Dwight. That was a good scene.

Oh yea. The two of them will have some battles over the next season or two.

When Dwight comes to ASZ and stands next to Rick in the church making his plea to help, that will be an GREAT tense scene with Daryl growling at him the whole time.

The potential of this scene alone tells me that Daryl will NOT make out with Lucile.

Just a hap hazard episode. It was really nice seeing rosita on the couch of talking dead though.

On a completely unrelated note, I will start watching Talking Dead again only for last week's episode.

So who does that interaction happen with in the comics then?

Chubby's soliloquy was horrid; I'm glad she got an arrow through the skull.

It's not about good and evil, she was just tired of killing and she couldn't be apart of a settlement because when you have a nice place to live then you're going to have to fight for it. She would rather have nothing and be a drifter than have somewhere to call home and have to kill for it constantly. I'm a sucker for lone hero storylines.

Carol isn't the type of person who wouldn't kill to defend herself and her family, Morgan is a different person. He is trying to lessen the killing as much as possible, Carol isn't fooling herself into thinking she can continue living there without having to kill. Dwight coming back to haunt Daryl was what made her completely sure of that.

Morgan can't let go of his belief that you don't have to kill in order to live comfortably in this world, largely due to the fact that without that belief then he is basically an insane serial killer. Carol believes the opposite, so no, she can't just stay in the settlement without having to kill.

I guess I am missing the point of Alexandria then, because when Deanna ran that, it was a complete compound of people that had no clue how to kill. They had weapons but did not know how to use them. Now that Rick is there everyone wants to kill to get in? I mean Carol was just held by negans group, which did not seem like they needed to go far to get to, she is bound to get snatched up by someone outside, especially being alone. If Morgan can stay without fighting, why couldnt Carol.

definitely thought Rosita and Daryl would take some shit from Rick from taking the doc with them. They were gonna take everything anyway, what was the point. Then Carol leaving, by her self? What did she do to deserve that. Are they just setting her up out there to be a savior for them again against negan? The arrow thru the eye, just seemed too close to how they were planning to have the kid get his. To me it looked more like an option for the boy that did not work so they felt they would use it on someone else. Daryl should have gotten an arrow thru the eye, would seem more fitting.

Are you talking about Carl?

Both instances were taken directly from the comics. The arrow through the eye happens to Abe in the comics tho.

Darryl driving the truck was one of the most ridiculous things I've seen on the show.

Carol knows it needs to be done, Morgan thinks it doesn't have to be that way. The only thing they have in common is that they no longer want to kill, other than that they sit on opposite ends of the spectrum. That's why Carol tells Daryl "I knew it when you said it" referring to when Daryl said he regretted not killing Dwight and letting him live. After that she leaves because she knows that killing is the best way to stay safe.

As far as why Alexandria never ran into trouble before Rick, that just requires suspension of disbelief. Not everyone is killing to get in, there are still plenty of members of the community who have no fighting experience, they just don't get any screen time. Carol is too skilled to sit idly by, so she attempts to cut all her ties in order to avoid killing for anyone again. She is incredibly resourceful, I doubt she'll run into too much trouble on her own.

I am trying to figure what they will do with Carol from a comics POV. The only thing I can think of, and this is a stretch...

Holly.

Pretty crappy way to deal with a character of Carols stature, though, so doubt that is where they are going.

Maybe she will run into the Kingdom? Maybe she will become Magna? Maybe she runs into, or becomes Alpha?

Yeah, I guess it was more of posting in this thread for so long, with fans wondering how Carl is gonna get his, how its going to be too tough to do, it kept getting put off, people kept waiting and then bam, two instances of shooting someone thru their right eye in a pretty short time.

Carol knows it needs to be done, Morgan thinks it doesn't have to be that way. The only thing they have in common is that they no longer want to kill, other than that they sit on opposite ends of the spectrum. I guess I am just saying there is a better chance she is going to have to kill someone out by herself, she might end up killing one of these people that will go out looking for her, so are you saying she is OK with that as long as the people who thought she was susie homemaker the cookie baker do not see her killing? These people went out looking for more people, its not like they were guarding against being taken over. Maybe they were actually looking for people that would eventually defend the town, but they definitely were not looking for people to go out and kill for it.

Well yeah, Deanna was being idealistic, that's why Rick almost took over the town because they didn't truly understand what it took to survive in this world. Deanna came around after her husband was killed and she came to the cold realization of what it takes to survive. The rest of the town understood after the Wolves attacked.

And I don't think Carol will have any problems. She's smart and resourceful, and since she has nothing to her name people will most likely rob her of food and weapons and leave her alone if they do happen to catch her slipping in the first place. Which isn't a likely scenario given how badass Carol is. She killed how many people after being taken hostage left with nothing but a rosary? I think she'll be fine on her own.

If she does die I think it will be self-sacrifice. I thought she was going to die for Maggie when they were taken but she ended up killing them all.
