Well this sucks ass. They are delaying the Carl event and the real carnage til after the break. Of course they do that.

Wonce again no Daryl? They literally are just giving the guy free money.

Decent episode. Horrible finale.

I like to have people die in thus show. It is one of the absolute strengths of the show. But I almost lost my shit when it looked like they were going to kill Carol. Not sure I would make it if they kill her off.

And Negan has OFFICIALLY entered the TV universe. Fucking fuck yea!

Yep, that woulda pissed me off as well. As far as the episode goes, it was ok...I guess. Think I'm gonna hafta watch it again. I agree with Nos that it was kind of anticlimactic. Although, when the kid opened his mouth at the end, I did feel the urge to reach into the tv screen and slap the shit outta him. :pound:

Um...did I blink and miss Negan? Or was he the special guest on Talking Dead?

He was not on during the show, it was the preview for the episode in two months. Daryl, Sasha and Big Red were stopped by a bowling pin setup of bikers saying everything they have belongs to Negan. Honestly, I was not sure it was him, since if it was he spoke in third person.

Hope that did not count as a fucking spoiler.

anyway, pretty damn lame for a cliffhanger during the episode, the only thing we are left wondering about is if the kid screaming mom is gonna get anyone eaten and what will the wolf do with the fat doctor, and will Glenn watch his wife die on a platform.

Yeah, for a mid-season finale this episode was kinda meh.... I mean we really haven't grown too terribly attached to the doctor wanna be lady yet, so do we really care THAT much what happens? I mean it'll affect Tara (again), but Tara is still kind of far down on the food chain as far as characters we care about, so.... I mean maybe if the dude kills her it'll wake Morgan the fuck up?

Maggie? Well, she's on a platform, but safe for now. Nothing really nail-biting there...

Which leaves us with Lizzie part Deux... Sam. Kinda knew the kid was gonna fuck things up when they were hatching their plan. Might have been wiser to barricade him and another in somewhere and have a few go to the armory and then work their way back? But that's the only tension here to me... "Mom!"..... HEY SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! I mean I just assume the mom is going to make a move to shut Sam up and at the very least, she and Sam will get eaten I'd guess.... What will be interesting is whether the rest of the group flinches... One thing we don't really know. Once walkers know that a gut covered living person is actually living, can that person re-establish stealth mode somehow? (I mean do they have to break line of sight with all walkers that have identified them? Or if they just calm the fuck down and act like a walker again will that make the walkers lose interest again?)....

Anyway, I'll be okay for two months. Nothing I have to know the answer to NOW, which means they didn't do a really great job here.

Anyone catch Kirkman's answer to the audience question on TTD? Very interesting that he answered it the way he did.

The audience member asked why they do not use the "guts trick" all the time to stay safe. His answer was that it is not hygienic. The better answer would be that it would strip away their humanity. We have already seen it twice with Michone.

His answer kinda paints him into a corner with regards to the Whisperers.

Too many unbelievable moments, especially the scene where the Wolf gets lose which is compounded by the fact that Tara is obviously pregnant. This felt like the episode before the finale, not the finale itself. First they milk the shit outta the Glen situation now they are milking the shit out of the main plot points. So the Doctor lady didn't see him go for the stick? She was hiding in the corner able to see the whole room. Then Rosita, Tara and Eugene can't get a headshot from 3 feet away but Tara was nailing walkers from 20 feet away just the other week. I felt like they let a real opportunity for more character development for Eugene slip away by not letting him kill that Wolf.

Also, wouldn't you fight the Wolf? Even if you're a complete coward you have to understand that if you leave the house with the Wolf that you're dead anyway, might as well risk getting shot in the head while he was fiddling with the keys trying to get the door open. I saw a lot of keys on that Keyring, yet he knew exactly which key did what? It's 4 on 1, all you have to do is hold the gun away from anyone and wait for the other 3 to subdue/kill him. I know it's only a TV show but for a show that focuses on shining a light on human nature in a hopeless situation, this episode was not even close to being realistic.

The only real bright spot in the episode was Carl. The fight scene between he and Ron was surprisingly good and Carl is truly a Grimes with the way he handled the situation. I saw a lot of Rick in him when he told Ron that his Dad was an asshole.

I was a little off with the keys. When the boys went to the garage, there was an individual key on a chain for that back door lock. When they were in that wolf house, there was also a key in the door. What is the deal, anyone can go into your house if they have the capacity to turn a key? why wouldnt turning a door knob provide the same trouble for walkers?

I also think Rosita could have killed that wolf. She didnt know Tara and the doc had a moment, could have added angst both to that relationship since Rosita saved her not Tara, or blew up Tara and Rositas relationship if she did kill the doc.

O agree though, it seemed like the eposide before the half season finale, and following the current groups they were airing, it was Daryls turn to have an episode. Having the house break down the wall could have been the cliff hanger for the alexandria group, they could have ended with the preview for the Daryl group.

Btw, when exactly did this deep relationship between the doc and Tara take place? Because they had a "moment"?

Ha, I just saw this.; that whole thing makes me think we are just supposed to fill in the blanks and draw our own conclusions.

I dont know if you answered the last question or not, but Tara went to support her trying to help a patient and she was losing it, tara left, then returned later when she kissed her.

I get that. Just wondering how that just magically turned into this big relationship.

Lets compare this to the previous mid-season finales...

S2 - Pretty Much Dead Already - This was a MONSTER episode. Sophia walking out of the barn was powerfully emotional. Moving forward, it "broke" Herschel and started Carol down her path of kick-assedness. No official deaths, but the confirmation of a major-ish death.

S3 - Made to Suffer - This was alright. Daryl and Merle are in the fighting pits against each other. No deaths. Meh.

S4 - Too Far Gone - Arguably the best episode of the show at the time. Action packed with two MAJOR deaths. 10/10

S5 - Coda - The finale of the Hospital arc. 1 major-ish death. Basically the last we see of Atlanta. Meh +

S6 - Start to Finish - Alexandria gets over-run by walkers. 1 major-ish death.

I would rate them in this order...

Too Far Gone
Pretty Much Dead Already
Coda
Start to Finish
Made To Suffer
