If both Carl AND Maggie are dead on the show by the end of the season, they are pretty much guaranteeing that they are abandoning the books moving forward. How can you have the arc between the Saviors and the Whisperers without the two of them?

I have wondered if the garbage people weren’t a test case to see how exactly to do the Whisperers. Or that they may actually be a changed version of them all together. But seeing how pretty much everybody HATES the garbage people, maybe they will, in fact, abandon the entire arc. And now, with Carl and possibly Maggie gone from the show, they would need to totally reinvent how they get introduced anyway.I could never quite figure out how they could translate the Whisperers arc. Seems to me things might be coming to an end, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if it ended with a "Happy Ending" of sorts...something along the line of the survivors overlooking the new civilization they have created, embracing each other, remembering those who fell along the way...that kinda thing.
Think I'm off the mark here?
HOLT SHIT! Morgan just raised the bar on most gruesome kill.
I totally cared more about the Carol/Morgan story than the Carl story.
And psycho-Morgan is 1000x awesomer than peacenic-Morgan.
It has been confirmed that there will be some kind of time jump on Fear. But I don’t think it will be right away. I think they stay in their own timeline for the first half season or so, then do a time jump. Not sure if they will show any of Morgan’s journey west, though.Morgan losing it and going whacko is probably the reason that will be given for him leaving the show and joining the cast of Fear the Walking Dead. He probably feels he needs to escape the current circumstances in order to attempt to retain any semblance of sanity.......so he will go on a major solo walkabout.
It’s Obvious Now Why Morgan Is Leaving ’The Walking Dead’
But.......Texas is a long damned distance from Virginia.....that's quite a journey. Same thing goes for the current characters on Fear the Walking Dead.....they will be traveling pretty far from the San Diego/Tijuana area all the way to Texas to continue the story.
Not a moist eye in the house.
The whole thing felt like they WANTED me to cry. Like they thought I would, or could.
But nope. Completely over-the-top attempts at hitting the feels, and they all failed. I totally cared more about the Carol/Morgan story than the Carl story.

I haven't cried at a movie since watching Old Yeller when I was a child. Not a moist eye in the house.

I took it as Carl doing all of the envisions.Overall good episode. Way too drawn out was the Carl saga. I did like the Old Man Rick scenes which were Carl...except that last one. Was that Rick envisioning it?
