Remember a couple of seasons ago when Gabriel was the most despised member of the main group? It was funny watching him talk to Spencer and actually be the voice of reason. Last season I thought Spencer had potential to be an entertaining character that you'd love to hate. Now I don't really even enjoy him as a despicable character. He just annoys me. I hope he dies soon. I know this isn't how it goes down in the comics (at least I assume it's not since I haven't read them), but maybe Rosita will use that one bullet of hers on him.

Much better. Still a somewhat "bottle" episode, but at least the characters we cared about showed up and it jumped around a little bit. The stuff at the compound has still been my favorite part of this season so far.

I actually enjoyed this episode because it WASNT a bottle episode.

We got a little bit of everything except Hilltop and Kingdom. We had Rick and Aaron; Darryl, Negan, Dwight and Carl; Michone; Eugene and Rosita; Spencer and Gabriel...

If every ep were like this, I would be very happy with the show.

I think we are supposed to assume it is Paul, since we know he is in the factory. But I don't think we will find out right away.

Well, it looks like in the promo that Daryl is out of the cell, so I think we will. Or at least be able to rule out if it's a trap or not.

I too think it was Jesus/Paul, because they made it look like Daryl distracted Negan into distracting Dwight to give Jesus a chance to jump off the roof and into the Sanctuary.

2 horrible nit picks from tonight's episode...

1) they couldn't put any water in the beer bottle that Negan gave to Carl? The way that thing flopped around in Carl's hand made it OBVIOUS that thing was empty.

2) that was horrible sfx on Carl's eye. They really needed to invest in some computer fx for that. Negan even mentioned that he could see the socket when you clearly couldn't. Horrible b-movie level makeup there.

Can anyone give me one good reason why Carl didn't empty that gun into Negan when he had the clear opportunity? Besides a premature ending to the story line, I mean.

And I can't buy the excuse that he didn't wanna kill anyone else. He had no prob blowin' away that dude on the truck.

Haha yeah, not the greatest fx there, but I still thought he looked kinda cool. Don't get me started on the phony looking zombies, tho. Looks like they are cost-cutting again.

I was assuming it was Negan/Dwight's wife... She knows which room he is in, and she has kind of been looking after him somewhat...

I think that is what the writer's want us to believe, since Daryl and her have already had an interesting encounter when he tried to escape. It wouldn't surprise me to see them throw a wrench in the plan and it be Jesus or Dwight.

I know jesus is like a ninja... But that would be pretty amazing ninja techniques and kind of hard to believe that he was able to find Daryl's room, not get noticed by ANYONE, not even other prisoners(you know they would make noise)... That is just too much for me to believe...

Do we know what Jesus and his community lost in the original encounter with the saviors... maybe he has someone in the inside....

We know they had a lineup. They mentioned the name if the sacrifice at one point (forget the name they gave). No mention on any prisoners taken. The Hilltop is pretty much full of pussies, though. Not sure they would have anyone Negan would find worthwhile (except...)
