You guys are harsh man. I liked the episode, and it really doesn't bother me too much how they ended it. I completely expected it.

FWIW Jeffrey Dean Morgan is fucking awesome as Negan. Perfect casting IMO.




As far as the "taking it like a champ" comment and that implying that it's Abraham....pretty sure that comment is directly from the comics, so I don't think it implies anything.




I still say they stick to the comics here.....

If I was Negan in that situation I would kill the following:

*Abraham: Obviously an alpha male.
*Rick: Obviously the leader. Why wouldn't you take out the leader?
*Probably Darryl: If I had any knowledge of his actions against the group previously.
*Maybe Michonne: If I has any reports of her sword skills in action.

I wouldn't perceive the others as much of a threat and might let them go if they were going to basically be my slaves. Let them scamper back to Alexandria with their tails between their legs and go from there.

I don't know why he would let any of those 4 walk free under any circumstances.

What would be more unpredictable & convincingly meaningful for Negan to do in front of everyone, than to off one of his own troops that's fucked shit up for him and the person mainly responsible for getting many of his people killed by Rick's group.

This...would be great. Way out of the box thinking that would change the entire landscape as far as relating the show to the comics and having the series stand on its own merits.

Also, Rick's decision to just take on the Survivors despite having extremely limited knowledge of them was fucking stupid.

Given that, and the fuck up with letting their only doctor go looking for soda, I think Rick is no longer fit to lead.

1) Ricks group = "The Survivors"; Negans group = "The Saviors"

2) This cocky, blindly moving forward strategy that Rick is taking is DIRECTLY from the comics, and I had this exact feeling when I read it over 2 years ago.

I would be pissed if this was how they did it. As far as the show is concerned, Dwight is not a major character, and is even more of a cop out than Aaron would be.

I don't care. You're the leader of a group that has one doctor. There ought to be a directive out there that under no circumstances does the doctor leave the safety of the camp. At the very least that directive should have been given out to his core "group," which happened to be the fucktards that took her out.

Leadership isn't just about making reactionary decisions, there's also foresight, and in my opinion, protecting a resource as important as a singular doctor should have crossed his mind.
