I don't think I have ever yelled at the television for anything other than a sporting event but when Carol's daughter Sophia came out of the barn, I yelled NOOO! IMO season two has easily been the best so far...

S1 was BY FAR the best season.

S2 was much better upon 2nd viewing. Watching it first run was too slow, IMHO. Still great, but slow.

I actually really liked S3. 3.1 was a GREAT episode. The ending was a bit strange, but Gimple was taking the reigns and wanted to handle the Gov arc differently, so there were a lot of re-writes that put the story into that situation.

So far, S4 has been meh. The whole illness thing, to me, just had the feel of filler. It had nothing to do with the ZA outside of the fact that society was gone, so a tiny sickness became an instant epidemic. Also, everywhere they went, the saw signs of the sickness, but the Govs group never ran into it? Anyway, 4.6-4.8 were very good episodes. 4.9 was slow, but important character development. I think it will hold up when we watch it again after a couple seasons go by.

I still love the show, but IMO the first season with Darabont in charge was by far the best, with season 2 not far behind. Still an avid watcher, but the thing that really troubles me now are the laughably cheap special effects. They seem to be getting cheesier each season.

Story-wise, I think it's been kinda up and down since then, but I did love the Governor's character. Believe it or not, I'm getting a little tired of Rick's moaning and groaning. I'm not a Carl fan, but the little shit does have a point.

^^^I agree that the CGI seems to be getting worse, particularly with the kills.

Carol fucking bugs me. I wish(and maybe they touch on it later in a flashback or something) but I wish they would have shown or implied, if Carol CAUGHT that little turd trying to suffocate LAK.

If my assumption is right (that Lizzie killed Karen and David), than Carol knows that Lizzie is a psychopath. I am not sure it is a major point that she caught her smothering LAK or not.

I do a marathon every few months already. I also watch new runs at least twice the week they come out. There is always something I missed.

This week, I totally missed the whole deal with the rabbits. I think the producers assumed it would have been missed, that is why they made such a huge point of it in TTD.

Carol had to have caught her in the act....that kid is out of control and and Carol is hiding it. Lucky that she showed up or Judith would be dead.

I'm watching this one a second time....three different storylines going on and I tend to multi-task while watching. Rabbits?!?! I will watch for that. The major players are still alive just seperated and the new one Glenn picked up.

I have a feeling that Carol went directly back to the prison and was planning on somehow keeping an eye on Lizzie from the get-go. She mentioned that she had already seen the carnage, and time-line wise, Rick kicked her out just yesterday. If she were truly going her own way, why would she have gone directly back to the prison, let alone just happen across the group with Lizzie in it?

Yes...she said she went back there and was able to describe what happnened there. She was going back anyway...she just didn't make it for the dance.

Good, solid ep. Advanced the Abe group and introduced a new group of baddies.

Next week will be Daryl and Beth, at least. I heard a rumor (not sure where) that Ty and Carol will reach Terminus, and they were not in the preview because they did not want to shaw any of the sets. (I cannot remember where I heard it, so believe this at your own risk).

Rick has been a former shell of what he was. Hiding under beds and afraid to be aggressive when his kid is coming back....pathetic. Michonne talks too much...the mystery is gone now. Glenn will still be the one who stops at nothing to get back to his people.Eugene the Scientist ?!?!..wow ...I hope this end of the season is going somwhere with this because this show is getting stupid.

Rick was asleep when he was awakened by the group entering the house. He was completely unprepared for any kind of confrontation. Hiding under the bed was the best option available to him.

He was about to take action against the Jeff Kober character BECAUSE he saw Carl and Michone coming home unaware of the danger. He did not act, because the walker-grenade he left (opening the bath room door before he snuck out) just went off.

I think it showed Rick as returning to his bad-ass ways (thinking quick while coming out of sleep, then quickly making an escape while killing one of the intruders silently)

Completely off subject but need to say this... If Carl didn't wear that ridiculously stupid sherriff hat then people would take him more seriously. :2cents:

He had the chance to get the weapons when they were asleep. The original Rick would have not let that go. He chose to hide.

I can't help but pray for a kamikaze zombie to fall out of the sky and take Carl out just because of that stupid f'ing hat... Especially in those moments where he acts all tough and "mature"

In the comics, the hat become necessary for Carl. I doubt they will go that path in the TV show, though.

Unfortunately, Carl without the hat becomes very different, visually.

I agree, though, it is cheesy as hell without the reason for it existing in the first place.

Edit: I will explain further in the Walking Dead Comic Spoiler thread...

True...I guess my point is that has no respsect for his dad....who gave him that hat when Carl was recovering from being shot. It lost it's meaning a long time ago.

Yeah the hat worked during season 2 when he was still a little kid, and maybe the start of season 3. Right about the time after he shot his mother I've been hoping for him to ditch the hat.

My initial thought when Rick woke up hearing those voices was "oh no, the Hunters!" I thought they would pan out to reveal Rick tied up possibly missing a limb. Luckily not the case.
