There is no problem or dilemma.
I've explained the situation more than once..and the very minuscule "paradox" you apparently are unable to come to terms with.

Here's the issue for the final time...and hopefully it becomes clear.

When the countdown clock hits zero days remaining until opening day, it then converts to just the number of hours.

ie: right now it shows 70 days...
....but it also shows 3 hours..a few minutes..and some odd seconds, before it hits 69 days.

Exactly. There are 70 days until the opening day because it's 10 weeks from today. The day before opening day, there will be 1 day until opening day. The day before that, there are 2 days before opening day. Just like there are 3 days until Championship Sunday, 2 days until Saturday.
