One of the most underrated pitchers in recent memory.

O'Day's another underrated one. One of the best relief pitchers over the last decade or so.

15 consecutive seasons with 30+ starts and 198+ innings. Pretty amazing in this era.

Hell yeah. He averaged 216 IP/season over that span - 205 IP/season over his career carrying a 117 ERA+, which includes his rookie season with only 51 IP, w.

In the five seasons '01-'05, he averaged 235 IP/season with a 127 ERA+.

I fucking hate the White Sox, but Buehrle was one bad ass workhorse. I used to always end up with him in fantasy leagues because he wasn't flashy with Ks and he'd slide in the drafts, so I'd get him when people were taking pitchers who would end up with significantly less points.

Fausto Roberto Juan Consuelo Martinez Hernandez Carmona

Whatever you call him, he'll always have a special place in my heart for two reasons.
  1. His performance in Game 2 of the 2007 ALDS (the aforementioned "bug game," which I was at) - fucking gritty, and although he gave up a solo dinger to Melky in the 3rd, it was arguably the best single-game pitching performance of the 2007 post season (that "arguably" is for you, @navamind dickhead).
  2. During a 2008 game against the Detroit Tigers, Gary Sheffield charged the mound from 1st base and Carmona went all Nolan-Ryan-to-Robin-Ventura on him.
This one's for you, Fausto Emanuel Esteban Luis Pedro Chalupa.

Don't worry, Fausto has a special place in my heart as well.

It's a shame he couldn't stay healthy. He was a great pitcher for a while.

Man. Haven't thought about him for a while. Had quite a few arguments with Mariners fans (both of them) about my meh attitude about him. Great pitcher. Made of glass. Meh.

Not sure why Mariners fans would care about Josh Johnson.
