About a year ago, the Habs were rumoured to be in hot pursuit of Vinny Lecavalier. The package for Vinny was rumoured to be Plekanec, Subban, Gorges, and Halak.

Something tells me Montreal doesn't offer those goodies for Vinny today

Lol. Seemed like the Habs had a boner for Lecavalier forever. I'm sure that ship has sailed.

To keep with the theme, Joe Nieuwendyk (then with Calgary) was almost traded for Todd Harvey (instead of Jarome Iginla). Yikes!

That would have been terrible, instead, that trade worked out great for both teama (Nieuwy was instrumental in the Stars winning their Cup, and Iggy resurrected a floundering Calgary franchise).

It was for Yashin. Would have been Shittttty! Keith fucking Primeau was likely to be the next captain! I don't think even Bowman would of been able to handle Yashin/Feds as his top 2. Yashin would have went out like Feds. Only years faster.
