which is probably why they're down 2-0 to Edmonton. What the hell San Jose?

Man does SJ look atrocious tonight.
I thought Heatley coasted his last season and a half in Ottawa, but he's showing an even lower gear tonight.
Thornton has Spezza Syndrome. That is passing all over the place without looking.
The Sharks better get their heads out of their asses or they won't make the playoffs.

This has been SJ the whole season.
Welcome to the party.
I wonder if Heatley will ask for another trade.
Seriously, the Sharks look really bad right now and Thornton is starting to look a lot like Spezza now. Surprising but he's doing it and it's not helping matters.
Heatley looks exactly like he did during his last year in Ottawa and he seems to be getting worse all the time. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise to get rid of that contract. Yeah, the Sens didn't get all that much back but 7.5 million for Heatley won't look very good in a couple years imo.

I said that at the time of the deal. He was never exactly fleet of foot, but he has lost a half a step. The hands are still there, but he doesn't get to the spots he used to (either out of a reduction in his speed or laziness). The last year or two of his deal are going to be killers, IMO.
I think it would be better for the Sharks to miss the playoffs honestly.
I love midseason and the fact that other fanbases have also given up on the season.
Defense can't move the puck to start a rush and I believe I heard the stat earlier that Boyle, Thornton, Marleau, and Heatley are a combined -36 on the year.
That is around 30 million dollars getting you a -36 goal differential.
