Defense can't move the puck to start a rush and I believe I heard the stat earlier that Boyle, Thornton, Marleau, and Heatley are a combined -36 on the year.

That is around 30 million dollars getting you a -36 goal differential.

Seriously, the Sharks look really bad right now and Thornton is starting to look a lot like Spezza now. Surprising but he's doing it and it's not helping matters.

Heatley looks exactly like he did during his last year in Ottawa and he seems to be getting worse all the time. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise to get rid of that contract. Yeah, the Sens didn't get all that much back but 7.5 million for Heatley won't look very good in a couple years imo. It doesn't look very good right now...

What is the front office waiting for? If there's a team that needs to make a deal it's the Sharks. They've had defense issues all season but now they can't find the back of the net.

You can definitely see his game declining though. Probably has a lot to do with his knee issues in the past and I'm not so sure he works as hard as he used too.

I know these are professionals, but it appears that this is a mental thing. I know everybody thinks their team needs to win the next Cup, but Imo, this city might need it the most.
