Actually explaining decisions? Who thought of such a concept? Seriously though, this is great for hockey. Campbell should have been gone years ago, especially after it came out that he dislikes Savard and that most likely contributed to Matt Cooke getting nothing for his cheap shot. Shanny seems like he's all about integrity and improving the game so I'm all for it.

He's really dropping the hammer on the head shots. Like Wisniewski for 8 games. That's a massive suspension, BUT they want to get head shots out of the game, and I think that's a great idea.

Imagine pronger's elbow to Nieds head in the playoffs. That would be like a 20 game suspension.

I wouldn't be surprised either. That will be the real test for Shannahan, when a legit established star like Ovi or someone elbows someone.
