The Season So Far-week –Week 11

1st 4: Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Michigan

2nd 4: Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU, Washington St

3rd 4: West Virginia, Ohio St, UCF, Syracuse

Analysis: Syracuse is the only newcomer. Polls were pretty stagnant as all the favorites won. Alabama has pulled way out in front and a perfect regular season seems apparent. Notre Dame has 2 remaining away games and may have the toughest schedule. Michigan is coming on very strong and may have the 2nd best team in the country.

My Picks for the Playoff: Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Michigan

Analysis: Alabama is virtually a cinch. Clemson is looking very strong and Michigan will have to beat Ohio State to make the playoffs. Another berth could be up for grabs when West Virginia and Oklahoma meet in the last regular season game and possibly again the following week in the Big 12 Championship Game. Georgia has to win the SEC Championship game to have a chance. Washington State can only win out and needs lots of help.

Most surprising: Washington State, Michigan, Syracuse, Utah State.

Analysis: Washington State is now the PAC favorite. Michigan after a loss has won all their games and could actually be a favorite over Ohio State in the Big 10 final regular season game. Utah State is now the 2nd choice for the G-5 bowl game.

Most disappointing: Florida St, Louisville, North Carolina, TCU, Nebraska, UCLA

Analysis: Florida State is not only losing but losing big. Nebraska has improved, but still has a long way to go. UCLA is having one of their worst seasons in years. Louisville just fired it’s coach and TCU has been plagued by injuries.

Heisman Trophy: Tua Tagovailoa, , Kyler Murray, Will Grier

Analysis: Tagovaiiloa’s biggest problem is playing time. Alabama is that good. Kyler Murray continues to play great, but another Oklahoma loss could hurt. Will Grier will need to lead W Virginia over Oklahoma to finish at least 2nd.

Big 3 Games of the Week: UCF-Cincinnati, Notre Dame-Syracuse, West Virginia-Oklahoma St.

Analysis: A slim week for big games. UCF plays its toughest game to date, but at home against Cincinnati. Notre Dame must win a game on the road against upstart and ranked Syracuse. West Virginia has a tough game on the road against offensive powerhouse Oklahoma St.

Picks: UCF 38-31, Notre Dame 34-17, West Virginia 38-34

Big games left: . Oklahoma-West Virginia, Michigan-Ohio State, Washington-Washington State. Big 12 Championship, SEC Championship, PAC Championship.

Analysis: Oklahoma-West Virginia and Ohio St-Michigan are the 2 biggest regular season games left. Alabama-Auburn and Washington-Washington State not far behind. The CCG will likely decide who actually makes the playoffs. My playoff picks have been the same for a couple of weeks and won’t change this week. The final week of the season should see some eliminations.
