Top Tier: LSU, Oklahoma St, Stanford, Alabama
2nd Tier: Boise St, Oregon, Oklahoma
3rd Tier: Arkansas, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Penn St

These are the only schools that have ANY chance to play for the nc unless things get totally insane.

Biggest Surprises: Clemson, Kansas St, Penn St, USC, Cincinnati

Biggest Disapointments: Texas A&M, Florida St, West Virginia, Florida

Heisman Trophy: Andrew Luck (even a loss to Oregon should keep him in the lead), Brandon Weeden, Kellen Moore, Case Keenum, Trent Richardson.

Biggest remaining games:
Stanford-Oregon
Oklahoma-Oklahoma St
LSU-Arkansas
Boise St-TCU
All 3 Penn St games unless they lose on Saturday to Nebraska.

Assuming LSU is 1 of the 2 teams in the nc game. Almost impossible to see anyone beating them. Not an LSU fan, just an honest opinion.

If you're going by chance to play I'd list it like this:
tier 1 - LSU, Okie Lite, Stanford
tier 2 - Bama, OU
tier 3 - Oregon, BSU, Arkansas, Clemson, VT, PSU

(in order of likelihood in the list)

Brandon Weedon at #2 is a joke. For the season, his QB Rating is 158.5. Russell Wilson's lowest QB Rating for a game is 159.8. Weedon also is throwing to wide open receivers half the time, and his team has a great running game and offensive line. If you are going to include anyone from that team, it should be Joseph Randle. In reality, though, Russell deserves that #5 spot. When people really sit down to cast their vote for Heisman and examine the facts, I think there will be a lot of "Whoa! This guy really deserves it" when people talk about Russell. It might not be enough to win, but I promise he'll be in the top five.

How is UO in tier 3 but OU in tier 2?

Both have one loss.

Hmmm......loss to #1 in the country, 2000 miles away in Jerra World(on opening weekend) or loss at home to a TTU team who got waxed by Iowa State?

If anything it should be reversed. And then add the loss of their best receiver.

And this is in response to the Oregon dude's post.

PSU's still got to lose one more if they lose vs Nebraska.

No, I have Oregon in Tier 2. Not impossible they could get a rematch with LSU. Defense gives up a lot of points though. So does Stanford. Should be high scoring on Saturday. I like Stanford, but Oregon would not be that much of a surprise.

Sorry didn't properly read the last line. Realize you were not addressing this to me.

OU has the better chance out of the two of actually getting to the NCG. Oregon needs so much help they have to be tier 3.
