Jordan is 6 for 15
Finally, someone acknowledges his Wizards years.

It's so annoying how people act like it didn't exist.

Well there's 26 players that played at that age or older, and their stats count. If their stats count, then so should Airball Jordan's.

Not only that, but there's players that played at that age that played in the playoffs. He didn't. Yes it's a team game, but when you're someone that high profile, there's bigger expectations.

He's not Herb Williams or PJ Tucker.

I wish the Malone-Stockton; Boozer-Williams-Okur-Kirilenko; or Gobert-Mitchell-Conley Jr. teams had him.

Or the Rickey Green teams.

I don't think I know that referee. I will look out for him next time.

Come to think of it, I don't think I see referees introduced in local broadcasts anymore. Or if they are, maybe I don't pay as much attention as I do in national games.

I'll try to see if referees are still announced in local broadcasts, the next few days.

Do they think he will return this season?

If he medically can, I think he should, at least for the season. After that, he can decide what he wants to do. But that’s what I was so happy about Alex Smith coming back to play. I didn’t think he was going to come back to win the Super Bowl or come back for multiple years, but being able to come back and play was pretty cool. And because he was with an unrelated injury, he missed the last game that some other quarterback ended up losing. So he was able to win his last game and his last touchdown pass was pretty neat as far as difficulty.

The San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl hopes are over.

After losing in OT to The Kansas City Chiefs back in February, this was a season many expected them to go back and finish the job.

Instead, they’re 6-8, last place in the division, and their NFL playoff hopes are all but gone.

For the Niners, it’s been a season where anything that could go wrong did go wrong.

Injuries hit the team hard:

CMC is out for the season after playing just 4 games
Brandon Aiyuk suffered a season-ending injury right after signing a big contract in the offseason
Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Trent Williams, Nick Bosa, and Brock Purdy have all missed games due to injury
Jordan Mason had a breakout first few weeks, but is now on IR and likely done for season
All-Pro Talanoa Hufanga missed 10 games due to injuries
Dre Geenlaw missed 13 games after tearing his Achilles in the Super Bowl

Then there was the personal toll of family tragedies:

Trent Williams lost both twin babies. One was lost in pregnancy, and the other was stillborn.

Charvarius Ward lost his 1-year-old daughter in October.

49ers O-line coach Chris Foerster lost his wife to cancer earlier this year.

The storm - both on and off the field - was too much for the team to overcome.

And take into account the emotional exhaustion of 3 straight 20-game seasons that all ended with devastating losses.

Still, the 49ers had hopes of getting back to the SB and finally finishing the job, before they have to break up the gang.

But after Thursday's loss, it looks like they’ll be sitting this one out.

I posted that last one in this thread because of the last part of it. A lot of losses personally for people in that franchise.

Did you write that in post # 49, or did you copy it from somewhere else? Doesn't seem like your writing style.

Didn't Aiyuk play a few games? I know he was a holdout for a while.

Can you post the cause of death for Ward's daughter; the type of cancer Foerster's wife had? So there's more detailed info.

Was the obstetrician able to detect any heart embryo abnormalities during the mom's pregnancy? Or do the doctors and parents not know it will be stillborn until the mom goes into labor and when the baby is delivered? And that's when they know?

During pregnancy, are the doctors able to detect any warning signs, such as one of the embryos vital signs seem abnormal? I realize "vital signs" might not be the correct term, since I think that only applies to living things that can breathe on their own.

Ok, the internet says there are embryonic vital signs. So I guess that was an accurate term.

I am not a doctor, but I imagine if both were either lost or really close to being lost before the birth, for the safety of the mother, they would probably try to remove the baby (unless there were laws against it). Obviously, this brings on the sadness by the fact that they did wait until the end is that they believe that there was going to be at least a chance that the baby would survive. That they were probably signs throughout the pregnancy that maybe the baby could make it. That part to me is even sad than losing the babies is the belief that you had hoped and then it to be gone. I mean, losing both at once would also be devastating, but this hope after loss to lose another.

You are right, I did not write that, I copied and pasted it. And I was too lazy to delete the part that had nothing to do with the real life sucks part.

I think I told you, but maybe I didn’t but one time in my wife’s masters class, one of the students in the group project decided to not do any part of their project and when the professor asked why she didn’t do anything, she said that she did not know how to copy and paste. That obviously is bull.

The other members gave her the job of compiling everything because they knew that she wouldn’t do any of the writing or the research. This apparently was not her first masters, so that meant that she knew how and if she didn’t know how, she didn’t make any effort to learn.

You might have mentioned the story before, but it's always good to read it again. Thanks.

I think it was good to leave it in. Just so it gives a better picture of what was happening with the team, in terms of injuries.

Then there was the personal toll of family tragedies:
While this wasn't "family" related, another tragedy was Ricky Pearsall getting shot in the chest.
