I guess I never bought Bill as a good friend. They do have one good scene in the last episode but I actually typed that blurb right before watching the last episode.

I still think they made him too evil. It made the female lead a joke.

And yes, good point on the fair ground scene.

But god damn...he was THERE the day he knew they were gonna kill his family.

That was just....beyond comprehension for me. Just such an added sense of betrayal to me.

I think my favorite parts were the last episode, the episode that moves backwards in the hotel with 'Senator Gun Control' and some of the early PTSD backstory.

The problem is that the set up for some of the best parts in the season were also my least favorite parts. The second to last episode, the episode where Frank Castle gets exposed and blamed for the bomb and basically the whole subplot with Frank and Micros wife.

The episode where the female lead finds the 'bug' leads to the most memorable episode but that whole thing is just crazy. I honestly thought the female lead figured out that Bill has in on it when she started looking for the bug.

Frank also took too much punishment in Season 1, imo. He should've been hamburger by the end of all of the gunshots and torture.

I liked the show but it was too much that he kept having 20 minute fire fights in NYC and the police never show up until it's conveniently over every time.
