UCLA's 131 OL starts tops the Nation!

Phil Steele ranks every FBS team based on returning experience at OL

Any offensive line coach worthy of major college or NFL football will tell you that continuity is vital in the development of a good unit at the position.

That bodes well for Ole Miss, which ranks third in the country in returning career starts at offensive line, according to Phil Steele. Only UCLA (131) and Bowling Green (125) can boast of more returning offensive line experience in all of FBS.

The Bruins OL really started to gel by the end of the season as the PAC's No. 1 Rusher last year (Paul Perkins) averaged 6.6 yards on 61 carries vs USC, Stanford & KSU.

I'm not saying UW will field some crazy offense that going to slaughter the conference, but there are way too many unknowns to simply say they will be dead last.

Pretty sure it was both Oregon schools and both Washington schools in the PCC.

The original Pacific Coast Conference teams were California, Oregon, Oregon State, and Washington. These four schools formed the conference in 1915. They were followed by WSU 1917, Stanford 1918, USC 1922, Idaho 1922 (1959), Montana 1924 (1950), UCLA 1928. ASU and Arizona 1978, and finally Utah and Colorado 2011.

And as was mentioned previously the PCC did disband for a year due to the Pay-for-Play scandals in 1959. Man those old days were dirty.

I mean I guess Stanford could drag a potted tree around. Not sure how that would work for Utah.

I was trying to be funny, but of course a horse is a horse.
Live mascots are kind of a thing of the past really. Not that many schools that it would fit in our conference.

Would you trust the students at WSU to make sure the cage door was always locked on a live cougar? I mean really? Nothing would top Cal or UCLA having a live bear, but that would seem a bit cruel to keep such an animal just to parade it around to games in this era.

It's just when Mamba posted that link talking about the best live mascots it just seemed like that would be such a small fraternity in our conference.

Beavers eat bears for breakfast. Don't even bring a Husky to our pond either, those things go missing within minutes. As for Ducks, lucky they can fly away quickly, we have learned to coexist together. Cats don't like water so no problem there. Not sure what a Ute is, but be sure it would drown before it caught us.
