If Im picking Arizona State to cover the 3.5 points and have my final score as 38-27 isn't it kind of obvious who I have scoring what?We can see who you have to cover, but who do you have scoring 38 and who do you have with scoring 27?

But since they are the dogs no.
If ASU covers the spread as the +3.5 dogs and the final score is Michigan 37 - ASU 31; Than ASU wins by the spread but loses the contest.
If they are +3.5 dogs, and the guessed final score is 37-31, that means ASU would have to be the winner...If they were the favorite yes.

Look, if you guys want to use the final score total or use the differential of each teams score from the actual score, I don't freakin care.
As a general rule, I would say that it is best to make it as easy as possible on the people running the contest. Even if you think it is obvious, err on the side of giving too much information so they don't have to go looking things up to make sense out of your entry. If Im picking Arizona State to cover the 3.5 points and have my final score as 38-27 isn't it kind of obvious who I have scoring what?

Hey sorry bud, but you are the one who said final score. It's always been total points....Yall are making this way too difficult
So, just for giggles, you have ASU with 38?
No doubling down on the tiebreaker, right?
I don't get it. what are you asking exactly?

Look Olyduck, please just tell us who has 38 and who has 27. It is not as obvious as you are thinking.

Im just confused if I picked Arizona State to cover 3.5 points how is a final score of 38-27 not obvious who scores what? If I had a final score of 38-37 I can see where I would have to clarify but at 38-27 it I dont see how it isnt obvious.
