.5 makes it so there is no push.. the team ones are probably either 2 or 3, maybe 4 in some cases, but 2.5 ensures no push

That's how you do an actual over/under bet to prevent a possible push.

If you want to be whether say Stamkos will score 50 goals this year, you set the over/under at 49.5. Not too complicated.
