As explained in the Team-by-Team Thread, I am planning on making a thread every three days for a different team. The first few posts will be questions, requests for predictions, etc. There will be a poll unless I don't feel like making one. Some teams are less interesting than others.

Please participate in posting articles, predictions, etc.

So Far:

http://www.sportshoopla.com/forums/...scussion/154953-san-antonio-spurs-thread.html - Defending NBA Champions.

The Miami Heat Thread - NBA Finals Runnerup. (Thread Pending)

The Oklahoma City Thunder Thread - Lost to the Champions.

The Thunder are arguably the most talented team in the NBA, but they have an incompetent leading them. Until that changes, they will continue to get close, but not win.

Westbrook and Durant is not the perfect marriage, but it could work extremely well if they had a coach capable of structuring the offense a little bit and changing Westbrook's mentality in the half court.

OKLAHOMA CITY - It looks like Oklahoma City may be in the process of acquiring a European big man, and no, we’re not talking about Pau Gasol.
News9.com first reported on June 28 the Thunder was in the process of buying out Tibor Pleiss’ contract with the Spanish basketball club Baskonia in order to bring Pleiss to OKC for this season. The club is in dire financial shape and Pleiss' contract is worth nearly $1 million.

Today, Jose Antonio Querejeta, the president of Pleiss’ club, said on Radio Vitoria, “Pleiss will go to the NBA, in Oklahoma or in another team.”

It’s unclear what the Thunder’s plans are for Pleiss, if in fact these reports are true. However, the Spanish club can’t force Pleiss into the league, as the Thunder hold his draft rights and all the cards in this situation. It’s possible OKC could send his rights to another team as part of a trade or it could bring him in if it feels it is out of the race for Pau Gasol.

I agree with the coaching aspect of this. He really needs to get together a new offense structure to compete, there is no reason why they should not have won one by now. They have and have had too much talent.

If 2015 and 2016 end the same way as the last few years, then I don't think so.

IMO, Brooks has 1 more year even though he should have been gone long ago. Marc Jackson seems like a really good person to lead this team.

Durant likely leaves for either New York or DC in 2016.

I would say Washington is the choice. They will have a ton of salary cap space, solid young core of Wall/Beal, and that is where his mother lives. If that MVP speech showed us anything, he wants to be close to mama.

He has always wanted to be closer to home, but the Wizards completely sucked it was unlikely for him to join a lottery team no matter how close to home.

Now, that the WIZ seem to be trending upwards....it feels like a perfect fit for him.

Durant loves the easy life style of Okc. I will be surprised if he uproots his whole family to move to DC.

I'd like to see the Wizards get him...... The east needs to get stronger. I can't believe winning 50 games has become a prerequisite for making the playoffs in the west.

Looks like Caron Butler signed a 2 year $10 million deal with the Pistons.
