Dupree---OLB
Pretty solid choice I suppose.
Considering the top 3 CBs were all gone, they had to go BPA. And a player like Dupree shouldn't have fallen out of the top 15. We got lucky. The kid is a freakish athlete. 6'4" 270lbs and runs a 4.56s 40-yd dash, along with a 42" vertical & a 11'7" broad jump ... Fast & explosive! That's like having a DE sized player running the same speed as Lawrence Timmons.

Only knocks on him are injuries and inconsistency. He is a bit raw, but he will be getting coached by Porter & Butler so I'm not worried. I blame the inconsistency on him being from a small school where he was basically the ONLY talent on the defense so it was easy for offenses to scheme for him.

Zero character concerns as well. The kid is extremely smart, and is a football junkie. He is going to be a great contributor for years to come. Just d

I liked the pick of Golson, too. I hear you about Coates. He's only going to contribute as a depth player at the postion with AB, Wheaton and Bryant all ahead of him.

Local Auburn writer/bloggers/etc. say the kid is a home run hitter, kinda similar to what Bryant is, just that he's not as sure-handed as Martavis is. Looks like another BPA by Colbert/Tomlin. Not sure I like it, but as MT likes to say, "it is what it is"... lol
