They aren't the only ones who need to be shown the door. Hampton is washed up. I love him, and he is an all time Steeler great, but big snack is done. McLendon has passed him by.

Sylvester needs to be cut. So does Willie Colon. He just can't stay healthy. There are many more who need to be weeded out.

They will be in cap hell next season. They have around 7-8 million in cap space next year, but that is with only 16 players on the roster. Just like the rags always have done, they throw ridiculous contracts at overhyped FA's.

Isn't it about time this team tries to fill a need from the free agency pool? I know this is the opposite of the long-standing tradition, but if you aren't hitting it big in the draft, you have got to look somewhere else, right?

They can't expect to compete in the division with Colbert's bargains from the clearance rack in free agency year after year.
