How old was your grandson? Had they been playing rough? Or did the dog just turn on him out of the blue?
Did your daughter get the dog as a pup, or later?
Just asking. When you take in an adult dog, unless you really know its past history, you run the risk that something bad in its memory will cause a problem.
I used to have a purebred that must have been teased or abused by kids. It was friendly and gentle with me, but got scared and aggressive around kids. HATED kids...especially kids on bikes. Would try to chase 'em when they were a full block away, and heading AWAY from us. I always had to keep that one on a TIGHT leash.
they raised the dog from a pup .. the dog slep in the boys bed with him .. and yes it was out of the blue .. they never miss treated that dog .. hell the damn thing ate better than did... no .. it just turned ..had to put it down , it tasted blood .. couldnt take the chance that it wouldnt happen again
