Adding the possibility of that many weapons opens up the field for Taylor's legs...........it is genius.

Think back to Kansas when they made their run. If Reesing would have had Taylor's legs.........imagine how good Kansas would have been then.

Yeah..... Just imagine if Taylor gets reesings arm how good we'll be........ :L

Well, yea......obviously Reesing was a good passing QB. However, most of his yardage through the air came from little dump passes while he was on the run..........and most of those passes were to a previous QB by the name of Kerry Meier.

Who is going to be better at creating plays on the run? Green or Martinez?

That is what it will all come down to...........that is how a Tim Beck offense works.

Based on last year I say green...

Both of them have their flaws........ but I feel taylors flaws can be a cancer to the locker room.

Personally, this is why I think Martinez is going to be our QB next year.............I think Pelini looked back at what Beck had going with the Jayhawks and he saw the opportunity to create something special. If there was one thing that the Jayhawks lacked offensively, it was a REALLY mobile QB.

Now don't get me wrong, Reesing could scamper.........but he couldn't run like the wind blows. Kansas could have been undefeated and playing for a National Title that year if he had some wheels on him

I assume you're mainly speaking of Taylor's lack of maturity........which I agree, if he isn't more mature this season, then we're gonna be in trouble in some games.

I wish we could combine Cody's personality and overall mindset with Taylor's talent.

Again.......

While reesing didn't get most of his yards on posts or outs...... he had a stronger arm than taylor, and much more accuracy.....

I hope our offense is everybit as good as it could be........ but I'm negative this time of year...

Spring ball can kiss my ass- it's let me down to many times.

My vision for Cody Green was this + the ability to pass way better than Lord.....

Unfortunately, I don't see the same tenacity in Green that I saw in Lord when the two take off running with the football............I would like to see Green be more aggressive like so....

Bubba will start if he comes here.

otherwise it'll be T-Magic

or Carnes if he has a good summer

or Cody if he grows a little.

or RK III if he's the second coming.

Bubba would be the ultimate fit for a Tim Beck offense..........no doubt in my mind. I guess I was just writing him off coming here....

Like I've said before, if Bubba turns down millions of dollars to come play football for Nebraska, then everyone better just get the fuck out of the way............because that means he is coming here because he means business.

You don't turn down millions of dollars unless you are a competitor and you're out to prove something.

Wow, awesome highlight vid for Lord. I don't know why I haven't seen that before. I was a big fan of Jammal back in the day. I he just had a little better supporting cast around him ...

lets not start suckin each others dicks just yet boys...haven't even had a real snap with the new O.

I am as hopeful as everyone but if we can't protect, throw or catch it will still be pretty damn tough to consistently matriculate the ball down the field.

I read the whole thread. I agree with JJM's sentiments about how if Reesing could have had the speed Taylor does, they would have been juggernauts.

In fact watching that '07 Orange Bowl game vs VT. (that I posted on this board 2 days ago) that was the first thing I thought.

HH has some sort of blind hatred for Taylor that I don't understand. It's easy to knock the guy, anyone can. I don't know how many ways it can be said that he WAS A FRESHMAN.

Listening to Beck, it's clear he has his guy in Taylor. Any time the media asks about him, Beck gushes over him and never says anything like "But I also like the way Cody and Brion are competing"

Prediction: HH is gonna be eatin' some crow when Taylor passes for 1,800+ yards this season. (IF he's healthy)
