Has the ESP5N Cartel already broken into new super secret NET rankings?

Penn St. is 74th. With a losing record. They are 7-12. They only have 1 Quardrant 1 win & 1 Q2 win. And they have a Q4 Loss.

Belmont who is not one of the 9 High Major Conference or part of the ESP5N Cartel conference is 87th with a 13-4 winning record. With 1 Q1 win and 2 Q2 wins. And no Q4 Losses.

The ESP5N Cartel wants to reward losing. They will even make up stats to show that losing is >>>>> than winning.

The Fix is In.

Oh BTW, UCF is 26th in best Wins & least Losses with a record of 14-3. But our NET Ranking is only 35th.

Providence who is one of the 9 High Major Conference - The Big East but not part of the ESP5N Cartel conferences is 73rd only 1 spot above Penn St. And they have a 12-7 winning record. They have 2 Q1 win and 3 Q2 wins. And a Q4 Losses.

The ESP5N Cartel wants to reward losing. They will even make up stats to show that losing is >>>>> than winning.

Penn States ranking is a function of SoS and mov. The Lions have a top 3 SoS and have numerous close closes in Q1 games . The one thing I've noticed with net is you're rewarded just as much for a close Q1 loss as you are a close Q2 win

Interesting insight. BUT Losing should NEVER be equal to WINNING.

I don't disagree generally although losing by 5 at Michigan is likely better than winning by 3 at Bryant but I do think they'll need to tweek the calculations next year

That's where we disagree. Losing is never better than Winning. There are no consolation prizes in war and sports, as the old saying goes.

Pro sports I agree with that and even in some instances in college sports but CBB is unique in that it rewards teams who schedule great games . It's why I love the sport . If you auit doing that you're left with awful ooc games and you're basically cfb

I figured you'd be jumping all over the NET ranking, considering EVERY other metric out there rates UCF as worse.

NET Ranking: 35
RPI: 39
KenPom: 46
KPI: 36
BPI: 42
Sagarin: 36
SoR: 44
Massey: 43

Big 10 - Greatest conference ever...10 tournament teams

today......

maybe 3 teams get in?

I wouldn't have expected Purdue and Maryland to do as well as they have in conference. It will cost the BIG two teams probably

To clarify to the OP, yes, they must be broken if a team like UCF, with ZERO Q1 wins, and a Q4 loss is somehow in the top 40 at this point.
