It’s an absolute mess out there right now. Almost a shame they are even playing.

Only person I've ever known to play the National was an irascible client who owned 20-some Church's Chicken places and 20 more Sonic Drive-Ins... all featuring Coca-Cola fountain products. He told Coke that if it didn't get him on the National like Pepsi promised him, he would change over his whole business. Got his wish. Died of a heart attack two years later.

I've heard that there is a long waiting list of volunteers to work the Masters - all those old dudes wearing single suits toting trash? - who, in payment, get to play the course a couple weeks after the tourney.

Yea, one of the mods on a golf board I used to run lives around there and works the Masters every year. He'd post daily about his experiences during the tornament and they do get to play a round after the tournament... at least they used to. It's been several years since we shut that board down.

Ok I know Tiger is more popular than Phil, but Phil has been in the top 10 for 3 days and I don't think I've seen a single shot he's hit, while they're following Tiger around like he's leading the tournament instead of struggling to make the cut. Shouldn't a 52 YO Phil Mickleson being in contention be more of a story?

Hilarious that they haven’t shown a single Phil shot. Honestly surprised they haven’t even acknowledged him.

Really looking forward to 27 holes of a Rahm/Koepka duel.

But the 1st couple of days... and I'm not watching every second of coverage, they basically ignored him.

It must have something to do with the LIV tour and some of the things he's said. In years past, a 50-something Phil in the hunt at the Masters.. and he was in the top 5 for a good bit of that, would have been a huge story.
