Believe it or not, the Lions worry me. One week they look like a train wreck, the next they're a bullet train. So far, they've been unbeatable in the Silverdome and a creampuff on the road. Watching them play the Arizona Cardinals yesterday, in Arizona, gave me pause. The Cards got their points in the first quarter and superior defense held the Lions to just two field goals.

The Patriots have to focus on these guys and not start thinking about a trip to DisneyLambeau Field.
The Lions have a fast, big and hard hitting defense. The Pats have to get off to fast start and keep the pedal to the metal. No stupid mistakes like last night. Last but not least, the O-Line has to keep Brady upright and not let him get hit.

Lions better score more than field-goals this sunday,....I'm afraid they're not going to keep up with brady-n-co.,...and I'm sure the pats will relish playing at home one more time before they go on the road the following two weeks = @packerz, @s.d..,......31 - 17/pats.

Their D is top notch which means the Patriots offense will have it's work cut out for them. I also don't want any injuries. I think we have a good chance to win even with those challenges.

If only we could play every game, outside, in the SilverDome.

Don't think the Pats have much to worry about this week. Detroit hasn't played more than a half of offense in any game in over a month.

Should be a fun game. Pats can't afford to look past this team because GB is up next. I think BB will have them focused on the task at hand.

With Schwartz gone I think there will be less of the cheap shot BS the Lions had become known for under him.

Is Johnson healthy? If so who covers him? Revis? McCourty?

Johnson played last week against Arizona. He made a couple of spectacular catches but the Lions couldn't capitalize on anything because the Cards' defense would pull together after any good Lions play.

Yes and the ineffectiveness to get him the ball nearly cost me a "W" I couldn't see that game so I wasn's sure if he wasn't really healthy so he wasn't playing OR if the Cardinals really did take him away from Stafford.

The Patriots OL will be able to neutralize the Lions front four. This will allow Brady enough time to be effective in the pocket.

CJ also dropped what would have been the Lions biggest offensive play. Hit him in the chest. He does that a lot.

is he "afraid" now after his injury? Do you think that is playing a role?

I think he's just a little bit gun shy. Put Browner on him and he'll disappear.
Stafford is a good quarterback but he makes very bad decisions under pressure. If the Patriots can put the same pressure on him as they did to Manning and Luck, he'll throw at least three INTs.

Lions offensive line is horrible at run blocking. I watched the Arizona game and Bell had no holes to run through or any type of lane to get any yardage at all. They lost a couple of the starters for the year and the back ups are just not playing well for the run.

Pats have to do what they did against both Manning and Luck, take away the run and force them to pass under pressure. Do the same to Stafford and you're not dealing with the experience of Manning or the power of Luck........

The cards secondary was phenomenal, they deserve all of the credit for shutting CJ and tate down.

I thought that was actually the one bright spot on the offense. I believe bell averaged more than 5 per carry against a very good cardinals run defense. Yes, usually the lions rushing offense is non existent though.

Hopefully its a great matchup and a fun scoring game. I give the lions about a ten percent chance to win.
