is there anybody hotter than Seager right now?

Seager has been Edgar-like after a slow start. The heart of the lineup is really rounding into form, and when Martin & Marte come back we may really have something (including defense).

Speaking of Marte, he was playing in Tacoma last night and hit a double off Lincecum.

We really need Martin back in CF right now, and it makes me wonder if bringing back Ichiro to play CF in lieu of a Martin injury wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm not a big fan of nostalgia moves, but with the production of Ichiro right now he may be what we need as a defensive replacement. His bat resurgence wouldn't be a bad thing either.

It's crazy! If those three continue at this level we may be on to something; our SP need to get their head out of their asses though.

Really the only weak spot in the order right now is Iannetta and even with him hovering around the Mendoza line, he's still hitting better than most of our more recent catchers. When the rest of the team is hitting like they have been this year, you can afford to have a couple of light hitters in the lineup so long as they bring something else to the table. Needless to say, it's been a while since we've been able to do that. Hopefully when Marte and Martin come back, they can pick up where they left off and join the party that is the Mariners offense.
