Coach: Ken Fucking Hatfield

Game: 2004 Duke game

Season: Tie between 1990 & 1991. We had a national championship level defense both years and pissed them away with typical Hatfield era punchless offenses.

Game: 2006 NCG vs. Florida. We were big favorites and did a shit job preparing for that game and loss in a humiliating fashion.

Season: 2016, defending national champs with everyone returning. Blew it in the 4th qtr @ PSU then get shutout in the playoffs to lose to Clemson for a second time in 3 years. F that.

Coach: Luke Fickel cost us our winning season streak which was something ridiculous like 39 years.

Something is off. tOSU was defending champion in 15, but lost to MSU.

Being an Auburn fan if you dwelled on this type of stuff you would go crazy. I just tell my self at least I’m not a Georgia fan and I feel much better. Practically Georgia’s entire existence has been one big “what might have been”.

I think the 2013 AU/UGA game summed up
the two programs during the Richt era.

I’ve always said a good barometer of our program is how AU and UT fans like our coach. As long as they despise him like the spawn of Satan, we’re in great shape.

:D
Saban is my favorite coach of all time...

Game - OSU vs. MSU
Year - 1998
Coach - John Cooper

Was at the game. Probably would've won a natty that year if not for the 4th quarter........
I still contend tOSU and K-State were the two best teams in the nation that year.... and both shit the bed at the end. Joe Germaine vs Michael Bishop would have been a good one.

That game is exactly why I love being an Auburn fan. We have lean years but when the magic strikes HOLY SHIT it does not disappoint.

It’s pretty damn awesome actually. Plus the we are “family” isn’t just a branding gimmick Auburn people live it.

Auburn is the only school I know, that with the exception of Terry Bowden, every former head coach is still living in Auburn. Even when they moved away every single one of them came back.

It's really sad. They decided to not play football for 1 fucking quarter and it screwed the season. It almost made it worse finishing the season beating Iowa, michigan, and T A&M....... That was Cooper's closest sniff at a NC......

Its a good illustration to prove that you can't sleepwalk for 1 minute...... MSU caught them sleeping AT HOME, and made them pay...... I wanted to burn down E. Lansing after that.......... OSU was a powerhouse that year.....

I knew Terry before he was here in Florence and while he was here. Auburn is better off without him.

K-State was a monster that year too. I knew a lot of guys on the team and they all contend Bishop was trying to shave points in the CCG and it got out of hand... Snyder's best shot at a natty.

Agree on tOSU, not so much on KSU.

Against the worst NU team of the 90s, KSU had to rally in the 4th and were gifted a no-call on a blatant PF to put the game away.

FSU with a healthy Weinke and tOSU probably were the 2 best. But you have to give Tennessee credit (much as it pains me). Everyone else crapped the bed while they didn’t. (Although they have to thank Clint Stoerner for one of the most boneheaded plays in CFB history that cost Arky the game.

The Game is always Navy, 1984. Could have been playing for a natty. Yeah yeah, still woulda lost, but at least could have PLAYED in the Orange Bowl.

The Season could be any one of over a hundred, but that 0-11 season in Lou Holshtzsh first year was pretty low.

The Coach is a toss-up between What'sizname and Who'seewhat'sit.

He’s 5-foot nothing and 300 pounds. I get why he would take any woman who’d have him. It still baffles me why they would, though.

holy crap. never heard that......

makes you wonder how much that goes on, and if Vegas thugs ever get to team play-makers to convince them that if they are in a position to affect the outcome + or - points......

Oh, I know. I was at the game in red as a KSU student. You have to remember KSU had not beaten Nebraska in 30 years at that point. That was a psychological win more than anything.
May have been the worst Husker team of the decade but they were still ranked #11. *KSU was ranked #2 at that point.
But I admit I am biased. That was a great K-State team.

I have a love-hate thing for Bishop. Great QB, nice guy.... dumb af, and a little shady...
Yup, I had 5 HS friends on that team and was neighbors with half the defense. They were all pretty convinced. I think Mike lost the respect of at least half the team after that game. And it showed in the bowl game against Drew Brees' Purdue.
