When down 3-1 in a series the team that has won Games 5 & 6 are 24-23 all-time in Game 7.

lol does this stat sound stupid its basically saying the team that won gm 5 and 6 in a 3-1 series has a 51% shot of winning game 7....

When was the last time a playoff game was decided by less than one goal?

If the Bruins, Pens, Kings, and Hawks win their series, the final four will be the previous 4 cup winners. Battle for the Dynasty?

Defensemen with over 500 mins played who had a bigger negative effect on Fenwick than Justin Schultz: Regehr, O'Byrne, Whitney. That's it.

I would expect nothing less for the Michael Jordan of hockey

@AndrewBerkshire
If Lecavalier plays out this deal in Philly, his career earnings will be $121,716,667 highest in NHL history.

game-by-game Fenwick close - a tale of three teams
(note the scale on the right, where 50% is)

chicago - very good team, gettin' hot at the right time

BR5hxo-CAAAFOUq.png

Vancouver - better than average team, running cold at the absolute wrong time

Edmonton - absolute shit, but they were warmed up before the rest of league (because they are an AHL squad)

toward the left side of the chart:
the blue dots in the predominantly red area are very good players, who are playing with shit linemates
on the right side:
the red dots in the blue area are shit players with very good linemates.

I always love this kind of stuff

Here's one from the NFL

A rare trifecta in the NFL

There's an entire generation of NFL fans who never before saw what happened on Sunday, when Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Detroit all won on the same day. That last happened on Nov. 13, 1994, when Barry Sanders stole the headlines by rushing for 237 yards against the Buccaneers.

Another one from the NFL:

The Packers forced six turnovers yet lost to the Bengals yesterday. The last time they lost a game when forcing at least six turnovers was a Thanksgiving game way back in 1955 against the Detroit Lions.
