I'm thrilled to have the pick, but I can't help but think we would've done some damage had we managed to sneak into the playoffs. None of the teams in the East have looked overly impressive, and we would have been perfectly capable of beating any of them in a 7 game series.

On another note, it's amazing how much more enjoyable the playoffs can be when you have no dog in the fight. My heart doesn't hurt nearly as much and you can appreciate the superstars of other teams, rather than finding reasons to hate them.

i agree i mean if the caps can only muster 2-3 goals against the rangers i wonder how we would have held up against them. i still think the flyers are the team coming out of the east but the devils played them pretty good this year. i do disagree though i have casual at the most interest in the playoffs when the devils arent in it. i do enjoy watching the overtime games though

I can't see how anyone's going to stop Vancouver. This is definitely their's to lose.

Agreed. The only way they lose is if they screw up. The West is certainly much stronger this year than the East. I thought maybe Boston had the team to compete, but they're asleep at the wheel and don't have the go to guy when they need a goal.

I think Washington can make a serious run. Vancouver is very good. And don't sleep on San Jose.

Vancouver did their best to blow it, though, and I wish they would have. Either way, honestly, it seems like anyone's cup at this point with the teams left except for Tampa. They may beat the Pens, but I can't see them getting any further. Honestly, I'm thinking it might finally be Washington's year. If their goaltending can hold up, they will do it.

Agree with everything you said. If I had to bet on anyone though, it would be the Wings. There is so much experience there, and that makes a huge difference this time of the year.

Yes I'm liking Washington in the east but thats not saying much.

The B's have CJ and are destined to fail. The Flyers may draw the bolts and have struggled against them all season. Meanwhile, the Pens are missing their 2 centers. It really is Washington's year to win the east.

I'm finding the west games to be the most exciting this year around with the exception of phoenix laying down and letting detroit roll over them.

Is anyone else excited that they don't have to hear Stiegerwald anymore in these playoffs?

Lightning have been taking a page out of Lemaire's book with their gameplan. Realized they wouldn't stand a chance in a run and gun series against the Caps so they sit 4 guys back on D with one guy pressing. Bruce Boudreau sucks.

I have to admit, I have been completely off with these playoffs. Nothing makes sense anymore.
