First time we've heard a player come out and give a real opinion on the kid. That one word tells you all you need to know.

I don't know what this kid takes us for making up all this extra circumstantial BS, declining to give specifics, and then turning right around and saying clear as day that it was playing time.

It wasn't about "little things" that made him "hate the game". It was playing time

He wasn't running with the ones in camp and he didn't want to earn his spot. So he throws a hissy fit screaming, cursing and stomping out of practice, gets in his truck and drives home to mommy and daddy.

A year later he's STILL badmouthing Nebraska. This kid is a real fuckin' piece of work.

Here's a kid who played baseball till injuries dictated he couldn't any more. Instead of cruising through his last two years (or one IDK) he walks on to the football team, redshirts a year, comes in off the bench as a senior having worked his ass off to get there and contributes when Niles Paul sits with an injury.

I'd take a Joe Broekemeier over that kid in florida any old day of the week on my team. Kickball, football or a fucking game of cards...JoeBro every time.

The only one I can think of is Cody Green and to say "big impact" is questionable.

Tulsa was 83rd in passing offense

Green's personal national rank for pass eff was 95th and total offense was 65th

Martinez was 39th and 33rd respectively.
